Honestly either way’s a win. The only downside is if Twitter goes down for good, we’ll lose our ease of access to lolcow watching.

They’ll move to some other sites, but much like Kiwifarms contains us, they’re all already on Twitter and in one place

75% of those given the ultimatum chose to reject it (total staffing is down 89%), all offices have now been evacuated and locked, and remote access disabled.
It sounds like literally only pajeets with employer-dependent visas are still technically going to work there.

So it’s going exactly as planned. Amazingly the site is still hanging in there but it can’t be long to go now.

Good. He should have immediately cleaned house on day one anyway. If the Farms can survive with one guy running everything from some old bomb shelter in the Balkans then I think Twitter can survive without their gaudy office buildings and just a handful of people. It'll probably come out the other end better for the experience.

Tech debt is when a developer does something in a half ass way, and more work needs to be done to organize it correctly. Usually they didn't follow the team coding standards or didn't optimize something. When a team has a little extra capacity, they work on tech debt. If a team is generating a lot of tech debt, they are bad at their jobs. It is harder to fix tech debt than it is to do it right, so tech debt should be few and far between.
