That's one of those big realizations about people like Schrier and the Era types. People keep hoping for the pendulum to swing back but only a handful of people who went too far too publicly and people who can't read a room will be crushed by the pendulum. Most of them will disappear for a few seconds only to come back at the rightest right winger you can imagine.

It is one of the reasons they want this site gone. Much easier to slip in to the opposite sides uniform, if you don't have a paper trail following you.

Even without the dubious demographic figures likely pulled out of some guy's ass, this is just another in a very long line of, 'Was our product not good? No, it is everyone else who is wrong.' I can't think of a time when someone cried BIGOTS! about people not consooming something and it's been something worth defending. Even in cases where I've quite enjoyed the thing being talked about, there have been flaws and obvious reasons for the film/show/whatever to not get good word of mouth, and that's not even getting into cases where there has been marketing or a strong message with the product of, 'If you're not [x], this is NOT FOR YOU.'

Maybe if you want that oppressed big-budget Disney sequel to open big, do something about the people who are demanding that no white people go see it opening weekend to give black people their time to enjoy it without whitey? Also, maybe if you want the type of black people who hang about on ResetEra to promote your movie, you shouldn't make a big plot be about another race of people who were oppressed by whitey, because the blacks of ResetEra have notoriously not been friendly about the idea of sharing their oppression levels...

Semi off topic, but Americans getting fat as fuck makes me depressed. So many people, like this woman, are obese now, and we are going to see some very negative repercussions from it in the near future.

40% of Americans self report as being obese, and people tend to under report their weight and over report their height, so its probably higher.

They also seem to think that someone who builds a website that will apparently collapse without thousands of people around to constantly press the "keep working" buttons are people who should be employed for life. (One Era endorsed Blue Check said they don't think Twitter will make it to Thanksgiving even before this latest Musk directive and I've seen many people repeating this (and the "won't make it to the end of the year") despite making zero sense.)

I find progressives in general seem to think that both everything is so simple that the state (i.e. themselves) can direct it perfectly at all times without any information and also that everything is impossibly complex that only a self-selected elite (which always includes themselves) can ever know how it works at all. (And this elite often never includes billionaires even in the relevant fields like Musk and Bezos, probably because they think all billionaires do nothing to earn their wealth since number just goes up automatically. Also billionaires aren't smart enough to hire people who know things they don't.)
