He’s shitposting like a 14-year old boy.

Note the tens of thousands of replies he gets within minutes.

Musk fires 90% of the workforce and the website runs as smooth as butter with record high engagement.

Turns out blue hair HR scolds and Pajeet IT drones are not all that essential.

When this shakes out Twitter will be running fine with a couple of thousand staff. Investors in Google and Meta will be taking notes.

I do love being demanded to have empathy for people we know for a fact danced on the graves of the Farms, and would likely dance on the graves of any individual posters here. Oh no, I'm not sympathetic to people losing their jobs who actively hate me. A bunch of people responsible for the unwarranted importance and utter cesspool that Twitter is have lost or quit their jobs, and families or not I could not give a shit.

Like with any social media site, it wasn't 100% horrible in every nook and cranny. Even reddit has subreddits that are fine, they just have to be small and niche enough to fly under the tranny janny radar. These terminally online 'like' addicts don't understand that people aren't celebrating Elon Musk necessarily because they like him, but because he's radically transforming and/or destroying a platform that has been an aggressively negative influence on the world, especially politics, and he seems to be having fun doing it.

It could be considered reactionary - fine. But the people clutching their pearls and getting so butthurt about what's happening to Twitter include many of the most toxic people alive, including the professional journalist class and the professional DEI class. The enemy of my enemy isn't necessarily my friend, but we can sure appreciate just how much he's hurting them by turning their own rules against them, rules they thought they were above.

Anything that harms Twitter is a good thing. Whatever Musk might do to it, none of it seems to be any of the few things that could make it actively worse than it already is. I doubt we're going to get the proper salting of the earth and revealing of secrets we want, but the seething, coping and dilating is an absolute joy to watch, and I don't feel bad about it for even a millisecond.

You write like Fat Rick. You must be a blast to talk to at parties.

What astonishes me about the Twitter culls is that Elon had to close the offices twice. Like, shouldn't he have prioritized getting rid of all the "sabotage on the way out" types during the first cull? Is everyone there really a potential saboteur?
I mean, it's Twitter, so maybe they are.
Layoffs like this never occur in a single blow. You get the initial huge cut, then the corporation effectively sand papers its way down to the real total it needs to operate. From what I've seen, Elon has been eviscerating "make work" divisions like the assholes who "tackle misinformation" while taking a lighter hand on critical people like system administrators, its easy to rip apart bloat portions of the company, it takes greater inspection to see how many system administrators and code monkeys you truly need. Don't expect the layoffs to end until Twitter is in the black again, which could be somewhere around March 2023.

It's fucking Twitter.
That's fucking rich considering Twitter allows Ali Khamenei to post as the Iranian Revolutionary Guard continue to abuse the citizenry as he speaks.

Honestly, if Elon really wanted to flex his muscle, he'd consider banning Khamenei for being a genuine warmonger committing crimes against humanity.

Doesn’t Twitter have a huge child pornography problem? If Elon Musk should probably do something about that.

We already have a website dedicated to documenting human right abuses and war crimes; it’s called Human Rights Watch and they have far more reach than Twitter ever has. They’re one of the few organizations that actually hold the U.N responsible for the mass rapes caused by blue helmets.

Facebook and Instagram are also still a thing one can use to “raise awareness” about world issues.

You can even use the Fedi—- oh wait, the majority of users over there despise Twitter users and actively go out of their way to bully the fuck out of them for that reason.

Come to think of it, Tumblr and Reddit don’t want Twitter users either. No platform wants Twitter users at this rate. They’ll have to take their insanity elsewhere.

Considering that 80% of Twitter users are corporate shills/bots, losing it to Elon Musk isn’t as huge a loss to the world as these retards make it out to be.

Pretty soon these histrionics are going to learn the hard way that Twatter doesn’t matter outside of Twatter, no matter how hard the media tries to push it to the forefront.

The website still works.

The market is going to be very interesting. Musk just proved a website that handles billions of users doesn’t need that many employees to operate. Contracting is the way to go anyway. I imagine the majority of Twitter employers were hired for some project and simply retained with very little useful work to do afterward. They should have been contractors, but hiring college grads and pajeets is cheaper in Clown World when there’s interest-free money.
