I didn't know they let you keep your phone and use Twitter while staying at a "mental health center". 🤔
Give him around a several days or just to be sure a week and he'll be going back to his usual posting routine. When asked what he meant by unavailalble he'll just say something along the lines of no "selfies and streams" and daily updates, perhaps.

Maybe he finally realized that his terminal onlinism is exacerbating his issues?
As he posts HEY GUYS ME GOING MENTAL HOSPITAL I'M SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SAD GUISE on facebook, discord, twitter, tiktok...

Why would they not?

...because it's not a bed and breakfast? Spoilers: they take your pokemon cards and clothing too.

Of course who the fuck knows what a "mental health center" is. Probably Gamestop

I was under the impression you don't have access to the outside world while at a mental hospital, except for visitors or scheduled phone calls. That's assuming a lot, though, the least of which being that he's at one to begin with.
Well i have been at a psychiatric ward for treatment and phone and inteernet was freely available for everyone. Hospital even gave free wifi. Its not a prison, you can step outside as you wish as long as its not "forced care" because of acute danger to yourself or others. That kinda thing only gets limited if it interferes with the treatment.

its pretty much just like any hospital but for the brain instead of the body. (allthough i understand you dont walk in and out of a hospital much either because of obvious reasons, its hard when you are bedbound)

edit: there can ofcourse be special cases where such things are limited, for various reasons but generally no, you can stay perfectly in touch with the outside world generally.

I think chibi was petitioned back in hs when he tried to kill himself by drinking a shot of bleach or tried strangling himself with the string from his hoody, tbh I forget the details but I remember hearing her made some milquetoast attempt to kill himself. Anyways the reason I bring this up is his experience there would explain him claiming nobody would be able to hear from him, psych wards in hospitals ARE locked down. So he either tried to get committed at a hospital, in which case good luck the beds are fucking filled up currently, is going to the rich people mental health hospital resort, or is lying. I'm being on option 3 personally.

Yeah he’s streaming and ignoring chat, I don’t think it will last long.

Faking something like that is outrageous even for someone like Chibi. He’s lucky nobody cares about him enough to check out his story.

If he actually went to a suicide/crisis center, They're not supposed to because you can't be monitored plus risk of suicide. They want to monitor you 24/7. This includes doing sweeps of rooms every 15 minutes at bedtime to ensure no one is dead. Most times they even give you your own clothes from the facility and hold all personal belongings. Phone calls can be made from a communal phone in the day room.
He's either lying or someone needs to call the center he's at. I did security at a mental health facility and they take everything, shoelaces, bracelets, outside food and especially cell phones.
But, seeing as how our little chibster is streaming?
He's a fucking liar.
You're a real fucking piece of shit if you use suicide as a shitty attempt to get attention.

I find it entirely plausible and in character that he was rejected at the door, because he is notoriously shit at going anywhere without someone else managing the details. Much like getting a room at a hotel, my understanding - as I alluded to in my previous post - is that you first have to follow the proper protocol. I imagine his attempt to commit himself went something like this:

Chubi: "Hi I'd like to get a room for mental health treatment please."
Overworked receptionist: "Do you have a note from your referring physician?"
C: "... No?"
OR: "Are you currently having a mental health episode where there is the potential of you harming yourself or others?"
C: "No, I just have the big sads because no one likes me and my streaming career is gone to shit and I can't pass my classes on making video games and my job is too hard and-"
OR: "Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to leave, we have no beds available and the waiting list for qualified patients is 6 months long. I can refer you to an outpatient facility, if you would like."
C: *performative tears welling up* "B-but I have autism and depression and my mom wants to make me Christian or she will stop giving me money and no one likes me and-"
OR: "Sir, you are disturbing the other people in line. I would really prefer if you would be quiet."

When you voluntarily admit yourself to a psych ward, you are put on a 72 hour hold till the docs feel you are safe. Yes even if you voluntarily do it. You can't walk in and then an hour later change your mind. I assume Aquana went to the hospital, asked to enter a psych ward, and when they asked whats going on, he said he was feeling depressed. If you don't say you are suicidal, they aren't gonna rush you in.

Here is from Aquanas last stream. Apparently he is close to done with school. Side note, imagine being Aquanas Coworker having to stay over because Aquana calls off to go do homework (as he spends all his days making gay cosplays and speedrunning)

Later aquana talks about his excitement with the sexualization of minors.

That drawn out "Fffff" in "final year" says a lot. It's like he had to do the mental math real quick to see how many credits he has remaining, but you would never need to do that if you're on top of your shit, thus indicating that he is clearly not. Could have been thinking "fourth" or "fifth" too, I guess; maybe didn't want to admit that he's a "super senior". It's the kind of response an IRL Lolcow I used to know would give, and he was still not done with his undergrad over a decade after starting when I last spoke to him. Either an outright lie or a very optimistic and unrealistic estimation of your academic career progress.
