Excellent post. I'm too normie to use Tor on a laptop to browse KiwiFarms so I've held off commenting but just to reiterate something:

Ollie says "A cisgender man who is worried about going bald can get testosterone blockers from his GP. But we can't".

First off this is obviously not true. A balding man wouldn't be taking testosterone blockers. I mean, it'd work to slow his balding, but so would cutting his balls off.

But sure, he might take DHT blockers like finasteride. Except he wouldn't get those from his GP either. The NHS repeatedly stresses that finasteride for male pattern hair loss is NOT available on the NHS and you'd have to pay out of pocket. Minoxidil for female pattern baldness is not available on the NHS either.

If the balding is caused by another condition you might see treatments like steroid injections being suggested and some NHS trusts have links with charities that provide wigs to women going through chemo, but someone who's hair is thinning as a result of natural aging will have no provision for treatment on the NHS. The NHS page for hair loss in women literally lists coping tips on accepting it.

I might do a little spergy deep dive on this video later. It's getting some traction in my social network - people don't normally tear into Ollie's videos (they tend to just skip watching them or be tight lipped) but I've heard some praise for it (some faint praise, some actual "people need to watch this" commentary - I'd assume it's because Ollie is highlighting stuff people who aren't as rich as him have to go through).

He says the gonzo camera moments in the video were to demonstrate that he was “untethered” by his emotionalism or something.

Oliver says at 29:00 that he was “disappointed” that so many commented that children shouldn’t transition. He says people’s “hearts need to soften.” He says cis people think that trans people are “deviant” and cis people think they’re normal. He says “trans children have every right to control their bodies.” Disgusting.

At 32:00 he says that people who complained that the NHS should focus on other ailments first “don’t understand how the system works” because funding is siphoned off into different areas of care. He says that’s the practical rebuttal, and “morally, what those comments are asking for is that trans people die before cis people.” I guess he’s doubling down on equating tranny healthcare as morally equal to cancer patients etc. He calls it “cis supremacy.” These people are deranged beyond comprehension…. Maybe I misunderstood what he was referring to but that’s how I took it.

Ffs, at 44:05 someone asks if there’s no gender dysphoria why should transitioning be free on the NHS. Oliver says “because it makes people happy.” He goes on to compare it to pregnancy. “Pregnancy is not a disease. But if you want your pregnancy to reach a happy conclusion you may need medical care.” He says that’s the same as transitioning. God help these lost people. He says he didn’t put this argument in the video for fear (again) of being cancelled. It’s time to face your fears Olly, can we please alleviate his fear by canceling him?

People are shocked that Oliver used to be a drill sergeant. Oliver says he used to be really tough and won awards for his marksmanship. I’m just mentioning it because it’s interesting to see his narcissistic ways rear their head, gender irregardless.

I tried watching it for myself but I'm going to be honest, Olly feels more like a horrorcow than a lolcow to me purely for his dogshit beliefs surrounding kids transitioning. I can't stomach more than the initial video. Him being unscripted and having this theatre kid energy makes me click off. Second hand embarrassment is a bitch.

As for what he says, I am now convinced that the video is exactly what I thought it was. That being, excuse for the 4chan levels of autism, basically trans propaganda telling people that

2. Trans people are victims of society. (In a way, kinda? Trans people bully each other so much it's fucking amazing. There is no such thing as a neo vagina or neo cock. It's just gross). But like I've said, I've talked to some trans people and they seem very reasonable. I was going to ask if he thinks cis children have "every right to control their bodies" by independently making medical decisions and he answered it for me. He thinks children can consent. The follow up is to ask if he believes doctors should be forced to "treat" children who want a medical procedure for any reason if the parent opposes. Obviously he will point to these two examples he used specifically to blur the distinction between elective cosmetic procedures and necessary emergency procedures and argue, yes, because putting a kid on puberty blockers for years who does not have precocious puberty is equivalent life-saving care (else they'll kill themselves as proven by absolutely nothing) so the doctor's (required by law, no gatekeeping pls) judgement of saving the life overrules the parents judgement as the child's guardian. Now you simply use the law to mandate that trooning out kids is necessarily life saving so no parent can object and no doctor can object without losing their ability to practice and tada...

I kinda fudged this up a bit on the details because I wanted to speak in ways that would both apply in the UK and the US. It's essentially the same plan though, leverage the "consensus" of the medical industry to force the insurer to cover it as life-saving care to take it out of the hands of anyone who can object because you can point to it being classified as life-saving care as proof. Use the doctors to pressure the parents and if the parents still refuse well that's proof they're denying their child necessary medical care and therefore unfit.

I don't know UK history that well so I can't speak to it but this logic might seem familiar to Americans because it's essentially the same for the mandatory taking away of kids and forced sterilization of "unfit" social outcasts during the eugenics period. "Everyone" knew they were "mentally enfeebled" (just look at how uncouth they live and have a bunch of kids despite being poor and uncouth) and the "consensus" had the perfect scientific solution. (Yes, the lobotomy craze was similar too.)

I imagine his counterresponse would be say, the child of a Jehova's Witness getting a blood transfusion. Of course, in that scernario, the child will presumably actually die if they don't get it, the efficacy of blood transfusions in treating various maladies is well-attested, and usually a blood transfusion doesn't permanently cripple many of the body's systems.

But really, the subtext of a lot of trans arguments is that "trans kids" and trans in general are wiser, more spiritually aware creatures than we cis scum.
