A Westerner who has been around dogs her entire life has no qualms about Poms kept outside in a dusty zoo. While when travelling one accepts that attitudes are different, it can still seem unusual and uncomfortable to see dogs as a zoo exhibit or giraffes bending down into crowds of people. I just had a nasty thought. Imagine someone called into the airport saying that Gunt has been indoctrinated into an extremist ideology and they have to detain her. It wouldn't be that far-fetched seeing as how she's a completely different person now. It's almost as if she's brainwashed.
