𝕏 / Twitter / X, the Social Media Platform Formerly Known as Twitter / "MUSK OWNS TWITTER"

Funny thing, if Apple does pull Twitter from the App Store it could very well be a multibillion dollar antitrust suit.
The only way that could be more hilarious is if the lawsuit ended up forcing either app stores to "open up" to all comers, or if it forced a requirement to allow any app to install, just not necessarily through the store. (Similar to Android when I last checked.) Oh, how the salt would flow.

Never been a big fan of Musk but the fact that he's actually cleaning cheese pizza off Twitter is honestly based af. Previously I always kind of assumed that CP existing on the platform was just a matter of some falling through the cracks in moderation due to the sheer volume of posts (+ laziness/incompetence), had no idea how widespread the problem was. Makes one wonder if it's just a coincidence that the previous head of Trust & Safety had some interesting ideas about minors and sexual content online...
CP existing is always a result of negligence, people have been sounding the alarm on twitter CP for years yet nothing was done until now, sites like twitter only get away with it because you never talk to an actual human who can be held accountable, it's always some faceless report system.

I agree

Unpopular opinion, but I think Musk dropped the ball on this one:

As the new CEO, Musk does have a right to platform and deplatform anyone whom he chooses, but I don’t think he should put his own firstborn child dying in the same breath as “Sandy Hook shooting was a hoax”, when Elon can’t even control the fact that one of his own sons had a sex change operation because he despised his politics

Again, it’s still his decision to choose to not have Alex on there, but I think this is a little suspicious that he would actually use his firstborn‘s miscarriage to try to virtue signal over something AJ blundered over and had repeatedly apologized for it.

This is currently the suit between Apple and Epic. Twitter can join in. Even Steam/Valve has chimed in with support for Epic.

Wait, when did this guy rehabilitate himself? LGF was peak rightoid retard for a decade.

Troons apparently had real power at Twitter pre-Musk. I guess I just assumed they were window dressing, being otherwise too stupid to exist. Guess I was wrong. Original Tweet. "Melissa" reply.
A few screenshots, can't be bothered to archive anything.

Most of us went through this disbelief stage.
They are masters at infiltrating tech corporations, often tech savvy males but changing into "I am discriminated" suit at will, ideal for progressive corporations.

Yeah, contrary to what A&N, /pol/ and Arm Pit Cream and his dick rider’s club may have told you, jews aren’t a hive mind any more than anyone else. Like so many other civil rights groups, they’ve been subject to ideological capture by the DNC and now they just put out a tailored version of the party line for that particular groups audience.
Ethan Klein vs Ben Sharpiro is a pretty recent example of this. They definitely are not a hive-mind.

I don't think he's honest, he's just trying to balance the scales after reinstating blompf and other cuckservatards

Maybe Musk should have posted a vote about Alex Jones just like he did with Trump.

Btw, sorry if it's already posted but another group is back on Twitter. The staff of Project Veritas.

Recall, Project Veritas was banned from Twitter in 2021 for reporting the truth on tech censorship.

Twitter claimed that the organization violated their rules against “posting private information” with their reporting on Facebook Vice President of Integrity Guy Rosen stating that they are now freezing comments from users in places where their algorithms think there “may be” hate speech.
How big are the chances then KF get its account back?

Thing is, this is the same Elon Musk who tried to convince his Twitter followers to vote Republican during the recent midterm elections, and he used to vote Democrat when he moved to the USA.

If anything, I just find it hard to think that he values the notion and the ethics of free speech, but somehow chokes up with the Alex Jones thing by making it weirdly personal having to bring up your first miscarriage. He has to know that parents can also prop up their dead schoolchildren for political points as well, right?

Oh, now that's a tale in and of itself. I watched it happen in real time, and it was fucking incredible.

Very tl;dr: there was a rift in the anti-islam blogosphere, over whether aligning with nationalist and left-nationalist parties in Sweden, Denmark, and Holland was goodthink or badthink. Johnson, being of the california hippie left, refused to countenance any sort of acceptance and denounced everyone who disagreed with him as evil nazis. He had always been uncomfortable being at the epicentre of that particular shitstorm and took the opportunity to re-align himself with the social-justice left. That was in... 2010, I think? Possibly even earlier. He's spent the last decade or two trying to atone and stay in the good graces of the militants.

e: I am realising just how much time has passed in the meantime. If you ever want to feel old, think about old drama...

He's just another confused human, I don't think ethics play a role here, he's basically running Twitter as a personal toy, there's no other explanation for selectively allowing back somewhat moderate rightoids like Tate and James Lindsay (there are more on this list who have been allowed back), while ignoring the appeals from millions of other people that got banned for literally nothing. It's a club and we ain't in it. Alex Jones is just his way of saying "not THAT far right!", although he's kinda misguided, AJ is a moderate right wing lolbert, he's just obnoxiously vocal 24/7 raging like a bull in heat, so his visibility is increased and gives a false impression of extreme politics (i.e. OMG no civility).
He might bring Alex back later, maybe. Alex is also a good "too far" case because of his troubles with the law and losing trials, so he is essentially "guilty" in front of the masses. His Infowars empire selling dumb shit might also be problematic for somebody more science inclined like Elon. Who knows.

A while ago, sometime during the Obama Administration. This article is from 2010...

Right-Wing Flame War!

I think at first he was all about exposing "Nazis" but as time has gone on he's ascended more and more to cloud cuckoo land. Becoming whatever it is that tweets like that.
