This clip has EVERYTHING a growing tractor needs.
His copium over no one renewing.
A snek laugh.
Ending with the peegnosis of trying to help viewers forget why he earned yet another Howard the Duck video.

The best part of this is just a few seconds after where he says something to the effect of his current subs being right around what they were when gifted memberships first became available, which is really just an admission that in 4 months his channel has had zero ACTUAL growth. 4 months with almost nobody looking at what he offers and willing to put a few bucks of their own money into supporting it. Just complete life support status almost entirely maintained by maybe a half dozen people right now.

Here's Phil almost exactly a year ago thirsting (and visibly vibrating) over the imminent arrival of gifted memberships; especially the potential for 'sub bombs'.

Speaking of that, I know there's some paypigs that lurk here so I wanted to point something out: You literally don't have to keep giving him money to make the content continue. The next phase would be him losing his potatowife (a net resource drain that he doesn't even bang), car, and townhouse; and being forced to stream from his parents' house in CT. Then you can give him drips and drabs of $$ to keep him streaming.

We know sure as shit he's not going to get a regular job (overall abrasiveness, ineptitude, and crippling social anxiety). He will stream from under a bridge from a phone if he has to. He's going to have to downsize eventually, and honestly getting it over with sooner than later (while his parents are still alive to wipe his ass) is probably better. His "business" doesn't provide a value to support his lifestyle. He's running off of 'animal spirits' fumes from a bygone age.

A huge hit to his ego, but being the cope-master and self-pignosis master that he is, he will use his victimhood complex to get over it; and shitty gameplay and silly hat streams will continue after a brief break for relocation. You (paypigs) have the power to exploit/manipulate the situation to make your entertainment cheaper. He would do it to you so why not do it to him?

Add to that the MANY months since he ''left'' twitch, he was ranting on a daily basis that youtube are a bunch of stupid idiots who dont know what they are doing because they dont allow gifted memberships

But it seems gifted memberships didnt save the stream either, just like having his Momwife to play co-op with, Jasper being on stream, the new neck phones, the new chair, the new laptop, the new TV, Microsoft Game pass, the new tip donation animations, reinstating the comment function, blowing bubbles when the stream hits 100 likes, the dozen or so new hats and vests he bought, Feasting With The King where you get to watch Phil eat on stream once a month...and so on.

So now poor Phil has to beg for a living to feed his family because of the trolls...Nothing he could do...

We all know that some tard is gonna shower Phail with organic gifted members before this week is done, but hypothetically if that didn't happen, what do you think Phail would do? I think he'd do the thing narcs usually do, which is to make themselves seem like a victim and a conquering hero at the same time. He'd blame it on the trolls of course, saying that THE TROLLS STOLE CHRISTMAS! That's the victim mode. Then he's gonna turn and say that he's not gonna let the trolls win and he's gonna hold the special Christmas begathon anyway. That's the conquering hero mode.

That reminds me, he also said he saw the Power Rangers movie with his father.

That came out in 1995, I know because I was 7 and saw it with some friends with one of their moms taking us. That would've made Phil 13.

Now maybe it's just me but that seems like a weird age to still be going with a parent to see a movie targeted at teenagers. Maybe he brought friends with him but just left that part out, but I get the vibe this nigga had no friends at that age.
first big movie i remember going to was my bday party, flubber when i was 6, big movies used to be a maybe once a year thing, my dad still takes my daughters to see movies he won't like, is a bonding experience. I saw the rocky & bullwinkle movie with dear old dad in theatres, and he hated it, granted it was a terrible movie. Some people actually like being around their progeny?

The point isn't DSP's dad is weird for taking his child to a movie, it's that DSP claims to have been 17 years old and going to see a childrens movie with his father. Your father and daughters are probably going to age appropriate movies that will age in maturity level as your daughters grow.

Phil used to have a narrative he would bring up often that he missed out on whole generations of games because he was completely focused on Street Fighter. So whenever he played an older game he would reiterate how even though it's a well known game most people played, he didn't because he was all in on that competitive fighting games scene. At some point he dropped that narrative completely and now he acts like he has always a massive fan of everything. Late 90s and early 2000s era Phil was absolutely the kind of guy that would have acted like he was way too cool to play Pokemon and say it was just kiddie shit. In fact I would bet good money there are old forum posts or rants posted on Top Haters saying exactly that.
Holy shit, thanks for mentioning top haters, I had no idea it existed until today. (https://web.archive.org/web/20041009164646fw_/http://www.top-haters.com/main.htm) It was almost 20 years ago but Dave has grown so little as a human none of these rants would feel that out of place on the level 1 phawdkhast:

Closeted rant about how all cosplay girls are ugly. "If I were to fuck this girl, I would have to fuck her RIGHT IN THE POOPSHOOT"

Mail in rebates are a scam because you dont get the rebate money now, you get it later!

Warcraft 3 and counter strike are hyped-up overrated games. People dont play them because they are fun, they pay them because they are trend chasers!

Bonus: "click here to be recruited into the hate army" on the front page. How did detractors hack the way back machine and include that? Must be Tevins fault.

13 year old needs a ride from somebody to the movie theater though. It's why the age is in a range highly valued by bean counting movie producers.
Wait Phil saw the Pokémon movie with his father? He would've been 17 years old. That's fucking weird. :story:
Dave knew his son was autistic when those credits rolled.

This is so stupid. Correct me if i'm wrong but haven't the events all been free in the past? Why is it this year Phil is making his audience pay for memberships in order to "lahck in" to events.
So now what will end up happening is he doesn't hit the goal and he has the event anyway because of "muh christmas spirit" or whatever gay lifetime shit he thinks of.
Or he hits the goal and sets a new standard going forth.
To double dip. If he was smart, he would just do it with no strings attached to actually give back to his viewers (total low effort 'charity' for him). He still might and spin it that he's being generous even though the demand wasn't met.
I think 13 is ok to be going to the movies with a parent. Besides, it is possible his father went along because he liked movies or to have a father-son moment. Sometimes it can be wholesome to do stuff with your family. Now, this is DSP we're talking about so it's doubtful but still, 13 is not a weird age to be going to the movies with a parent. However...

At 17 and for the Pokemon movie...yeah I agree that's weird. There was a Pokemon scare at the time if I remember correctly so maybe Phil's dad wanted to make sure his son wasn't watching satanic propaganda. This is just speculation, but it would make sense to spawn someone like Phil if you yourself are retarded enough to think Pikachu is the harbinger of Lucifer.

The thing is, both options are just as likely. Could be a lie, or it could be the truth (based on how pathetic it is).
Keep in mind that he is resenting his parents at the time because of the wolverine toy if he is to be believed.

He's going to be real salty after getting that inflated youtube check yesterday.

Nothing wrong with going to see a movie with your father at 17. More fathers should spend time with their kids.
It's seeing Pokemon and Power Rangers that seems a bit off. Never really got involved with either one, but those don't really strike me as the sort of "All Ages" stuff a family really can enjoy together.

EDIT:

Now that I think of it, haven't we seen this sort of scenario in almost every sitcom made, including Helluva Boss?
Not suggesting this is how it went down, but it's amusing to think of.

DAD: Hey, son, there's a "Pokie-man" movie. Aren't you into that? Wanno go see it?
KID (who outgrew Pokeman six games ago): Uhh... sure Dad. Sounds ... really fun.

I love how he paywalls a Christmas event, considering it is the season of giving, you would think that he would do the event for free( i know i know he wouldn't do it even if his life depended on it, he needs those tips you know?)

This is the equivalent of you, yes you, having a birthday party and having people pay you, yes you, to go to it. Cannot wait for the eventual "Medical event where he streams from a hospital bed" and having his dents pay to see him.

I'm in my late 20s and my dad and I still go to movies together pretty regularly, or hangout and watch movies together. We both like movies and like talking about movies, it's something we have in common.

It's not weird to me to spend time with your dad. It's weird that a 17 year old and his 30-40 something year old dad supposedly went to a movie who's target demographic is 10 year olds. Like, would we be so interested in this if he was talking about seeing the first Men in Black, or Alien Resurrection, or even Good Will Hunting with his dad? All came out in 1997, and all of them are aimed for mature, or general audiences. To me, this smells like obvious bullshit to appeal to his audience, or a lie he doesn't realize makes him look like a genuine retard.

Exactly it's not weird to spend time with your family and seeing movies is just a normal thing a family could do but going to see a children's movie without also saying something like me my dad and my 5 year old brother went is just strange. Phil probably just wants to appear cool and in the know again and so said it without realizing he's claiming at age 17 he was watching kids movies

'FUCK HER IN THE POOPSHOOT.' Scat.

'I'm built, but out of shape. I used to lift weights.' He was a bodybuilder, dood.

'Big Dave' not nice of him to call his dad 'a fag' because he thought his son dresses like a school shooter.

'I'm not some crossdressing closet case bisexual who thinks it's OK to dress up as a female anime character...' I guess GothySenpai's going to cry downstairs with Khet.

Okay to be fair last year was when he switched to Youtube full time. In the back of my head, in the back of my mind, I recall him saying something about needing to lock the events behind a paywall to make up for his lost Bit Cheers.

But i could be lying 😈
Nah he's been doing that for-fucking-ever. I'm having a hard time thinking exactly when it started, but it was when we moved to the more modern era of begging. Definitely before he left twitch, he was hyping up these big events, asking people to pay for the events, and then asking for money during them. Hell I think some of the massive tip goals were during holidays that he demanded big member goals for. But, that ended pretty quickly.
