Do people usually work on Thanksgiving? I'm not an amerimutt but I was under the impression it's like Christmas where you take the time off to be with family. If I suggested to my family that I clock in at work on Christmas I'd be served a l'orange.

Some people choose to work holidays if they have nothing else going on. They usually get overtime. Stores need to prepare for the stampedes of niggers and morons on Black Friday. Firefighters and medical professionals also have a good amount of work to do on Thanksgiving because of hillbillies blowing up their homes and yards while deep frying turkeys.
