What is feminine, though? I was raised when there weren't really lines drawn on what were considered feminine traits. Gay guys got it a lot worse for being gay than I did for pursuing and succeeding in a male dominated career.

Why do people insist on playing dumb about this shit?
Insert the word "stereotypically" if it makes you feel better. Everyone knows what masculine and feminine traits, hobbies, and interests are. Back in the day, the girls would take home ec and the boys would take shop. The stuff taught in those classes corresponds to "feminine" and "masculine." Again pop "stereotypically" in if you can't stand the discomfort of acknowledging that since our hunter/gatherer days humans have bifurcated into male and female social groups and activities as a normative (average) thing.
"But what about how there are famous man chefs and girls who build engines!" See NORMATIVE means average. Not 100%. But "more common than not." There are always exceptions to the norm.
And yes, since midcentury especially, girls have received somewhat more latitude about behaving in a non-stereotypical fashion than boys have.

It's a modern education trait, and it's embedded deeply.
At its root, this is about the eternal debate between essentialism and constructivism. It is also about bell curve distributions and the middle of the curve where the stereotype-generating majority, i.e. the NORMAL, exists.
This debate will likely never end, because people are somewhat often at one of the extreme of the bell curves in some aspects. For example, you can have a highly productive male programmer with atypical gender ID and inner feelings - but those feelings are just one aspect of their person/identity, and the rest is highly stereotypical and normal. Or you can have very normal, typical female that fits right in within society and her sex, but is atypically a drug user.
When such cases occur, they will tend to normalize the extremities of the bell curve out of fear that their own atypical flaws and behaviors won't be accepted.
The deconstruction that occurs "what is masculine"/"OMG men used to wear pink and high heels lol" is also a manifestation of a desire to tear down some limiting social norms that typically result in the exclusion of the atypical person that manifests them. It's largely a self-defense mechanism to normalize the formerly considered abnormal.

Is it really a typo? I thought by preventative sex he means sex with a man to stop his Amhole from healing shut which is something troons and even genital butchers believe. But I think it's a huge pile of troon shit because as far as I know - when a man dilates he sticks the dilation rod up his Amhole and then has to just lie there and wait for like 15-30 minutes without moving the dilation rod. It is "progressing", at least a bit. Right after surgery looks best, day 3 has the worst bruising (like if you get punched in the face, it doesn't immediately turn black, unless there's a dangerous level of bleeding under the skin. It can take a day or so for the bruising to develop.), followed by some of the bruising fading to yellow-green by day 7. But the swelling increased from day 0 to day 7, and now we'll see if it starts causing bits to die due to constriction of blood flow... Not to mention the pit that is where the dickhead was.
And this isn't taking into effect what's happening inside... Plenty have had people asking if yellow-green discharge is normal, or develop fistulas between the borehole and intestine.

Can you think of any other product or service whose only selling points are the complete opposite of its results and yet people keep smiling and selling it to the next round of victims?

Worse. It can happen that if a woman touches her flesh tube she can feel a sensation in the body part the skin was taken from. We don't know how often it happens, but we know it happens because some women talked about it on social media. I guess it's a lot more common than it seems.
