I'm sure that Ethan thinks that his dogshit attempts at humor are brilliant and following the footsteps of George Carlin. And I'm sure he's following the mantra of "bad publicity is good publicity" but I'm not sure I would call that him "knowing" what he's doing. I think in his tourettes ADD diseased head, he thinks he knows but let's be honest, Ethan isn't smart enough to be playing 4D chess with these jokes. I sincerely think Ethan rehearses it in his head for maybe 3 or even 2 seconds and then his fat mouth spews that shit out. It would make Ethan's disgusting behavior make total sense.
