So I decided to watch some excerpts from the Joe Rogan Podcast interview with Moxie Marlinspike that was brought up in this thread, and he's clearly someone suffering from cognitive dissonance, as a lot of these far-left anarchist types do. On the one hand he concedes that, "those spaces [there social unacceptable ideas were allowed to develop] don't exist on the internet today", and suggests this lack of freespaces online is a bad thing that has stifled innovation:
