Stupid thing that have been deemed "problematic" - current year is problematic

There was a sickening trend a while back with SJWs being disdainful towards movember because it raises money for a disease that exclusively affects men. That's awful, but one of the most baffling woke articles I read said "since prostate cancer is more common in men of colour, it raises questions about where the movember movements priorities really lie." With... black men? Because they're trying to fight a disease that's more common with them? If they were focused on a disease that mainly affects white men would you be alright with that instead?

I've said it a few times in the games subforum, but I really hate the current group of faggots that have infested tabletop games.

I've been playing D&D for almost 30 years. Never once did anyone I ever played with look at a picture of an orc and say "yep! that's a black man alright!" That thought never crossed any of our minds because of how fucking ridiculous it is. But of course we're the racist ones, not the leftists who look at a fantasy tribalistic, warmongering pig monster and think "nigger" no, never them!

Same thing in World of Darkness. The worst thing about that game used to be all the edgelords it drew. Now if your vampire isn't representing some flavor of LGBTOMGWTFBBQ instead of focusing on the political backstabbing and ennui. If your werewolf isn't just an excuse to show off your furry fetish, you're playing the game wrong and probably a super MAGA Hitler worshipper to boot.

I honestly miss the days when tabletop games were seen as a basement dweller loser hobby. At least we still had fun and the games didn't suffer because of wokeism

Sadly a subset of those basement dwellers bit hard on the woke apple. Give a bunch of socially awkward guys a way to "well actually" their way to some pussy and give a bunch of undesirable weird girls a way to wield some social power and get attention and both groups were more than happy to participate.

At my local tabletop game store I only ever saw two kinds of games. Boring, milquetoast, redditor humor games or grossly sexually explicit game run by a troon for people ages 12-19. The troon was like 50.

All of wokeism is founded on the "exceptional" commie idea that "all of a kind are always alike" - and that different kinds "communities" are autistically pigeonholed in an "exceptional" and delirious "hierarchy of oppression" - which is how there's the cancer of anti-human woke BS like "cultural appropriation" and "microaggressions"...

Real Communism is about actual aggressions of the up against the wall sort.

Literally fucking everything.
This quote never stops being relevant:

"If our society had no social problems at all, the leftists would have to INVENT problems in order to provide themselves with an excuse for making a fuss."
So as long as Current Year drags on, there may be no end to the previously not "problematic" being deemed "problematic" by SJWs.

Real Communism is about actual aggressions of the up against the wall sort.
Of course SJWs may claim that "Real Communism" hasn't been tried yet.

Knitting. I knit, and when I started decades back it was mainly older women politely exchanging patterns and admiring each others work. Some younger - there’s a strong tradition of knitting where I live and it does get passed down. It was also quite ‘diverse’ in that a lot of the folk traditions are linked across Northern Europe, across Russia etc - you can see how motifs have been shared across cultures. Also Japan is very into knitting so always lots of lovely Japanese ladies (and the occasional man, all were welcomed.) also Greenland and places like that have knitting traditions. Sharing with people from other cultures was fun and many friendships were forged like that. And then …
About 4-5 years ago, The Young rediscovered knitting and they did the same thing that had happened to every other hobby. Infiltrate, destroy. There were accusations of cultural appropriation and racism and all sorts of random stuff. You had American women telling women who lived in remote shetland islands that if they didn’t use black models they were racist. The response was ‘I live in a remote community or a hundred people and this is our cultural heritage’ and that was enough to drive them into a shrieking destructive rage. Women had livelihoods ruined.
There’s a thread somewhere here about it. It culminated in the male owner of the largest knitting site trooning out and having an episode and I’ve not really seen much more it since then becasue I relentlessly blocked anyone who was insane and now I’m back to watching Latvian ladies knit with 1.5mm needles and enjoying it all again. People are insane. Anyway, even knitting is problematic. Some of the traditional Latvian patterns have the fire cross in and the women who knit them get hounded for ‘swastikas.’

A quick look on Twitter shows that Cassidy (what the sperg programmer who trooned out calls themselves now) had some kind of freakout on the official Ravelry account about a year ago but it all got deleted and a non apology was issued.

Since then there's been a terrible redesign that has the cripples and accessibility cultists angry. Flavor of the month are people who preordered $$$ hand-dyed alpaca asshole fiber who had the vendor disappear.

(I have a relative who used to be a knitter and they didn't want anything to do with the hobby anymore so I occasionally prairie dog to give them the latest schadenfreude)

I love the fact that no matter what's actually being discussed; they'll still misbehave in the exact same way

My mom started a knitting circle or whatever it can be called. For old, young, experienced, beginners or those that wants to learn. Got a space, xeroxed up some posters, roughly three months later she said 'fuck this shit' and shut it down.
