I think @Android raptor is being disingenuous by pretending the “foam dispenser” at the Q Club is meant to be anything but a penis. LGBTQ groups have run the complete opposite direction of Christian churches in regards to children: if the Catholic church seeks to hide all sinful impurities from children, modern LGBTQ-allied progressives seek to expose them to these things to destigmatize them and make them…less scary? I guess?
On both sides the predators know how to take advantage of these tactics to maximize their access to their chosen victims. The issue is that neither group wants to take accountability and purge the bad actors, because it could reduce their numbers and influence.
The Church has obvious been powerful for longer than non-church affiliated gay rights groups, so they have a lot more baggage with organized coverups. I don’t think anyone here needs to be told that a fucking LOT of child abuse happens within religious organizations and groups that believe they are above reproach.
