I seriously thought, when he started talking about people going about their essential tasks, that he was trying to talk himself down and realize that people make noise sometimes because they have to get stuff done and it's ridiculous to expect them to do it in monkish silence. But nope!
It's funny because I get very easily irritated by noise too, but whoa, did you know you can instantly block it out with earplugs or by listening to classical music? Did you know you can criticize your impulsive thoughts and make an effort not to think ugly things about people for behaving in ways that you, personally, would not? I know, I know, ZJ.
Further advice to Zinnia which will go unheeded: Get some noise-cancelling headphones (they make decent cheap ones now!) and wear them. Put on a 10-hour white noise video on YouTube in another tab. Get a white noise machine (they can go for like $10, even the good ones are well under a hundred). If none of that works, fucking go somewhere else. Some parents with children in the house resort to doing schoolwork or work in their cars, or stay up late after their children are asleep.
Consider the fact that during the pandemic many parents had to work from home (actual work that brought in income for their families) with their kids in the house interrupting constantly and needing help with Zoom lessons, and they didn't complain one tenth as much as you do about having your Twitter time interrupted, you miserable, anus-mouthed cunt.
