Someone mentioned that Nintendo may have been waiting for her 'vacay' to end before they fired her. It turns out that she was planning on setting up a shop to sell the risque pictures of herself, and was waiting to get back from Japan to do so. This could be what she was "moonlighting" for, which let Nintendo terminate her for "violation of an internal company policy involving holding a second job in conflict with Nintendo’s corporate culture."

I wonder if that has anything to do with the multitude of conflicts-of-interest Treehouse got nailed over in the last six months?

Calling it now: If it turns out she was involved in some kind of malfeasance with one of the people screaming loudest about it, color me unsurprised.

Important Update: A contact speaking under condition of anonymity confirmed that she's been leaking information to certain individuals and groups - and I'm sure, given the circles Rapp rolls with, you all can discern the ones - for months, and Nintendo's known about it. She was going to be canned soon, outrage or no. Similar has been reported recently by other anons on Reddit as well.

This is an allegation, not a confirmed fact, but if true it explains a hell of a lot.
