Funny, same thing happened to wrestling. Back in the 00's there were some acual talented female wrestlers, but then they started only hiring whatever swimsuit model they could get their hands on that couldn't bump or do move properly for shit and then everyone considered the womens matches the designated "bathroom breaks".

Granted, I haven't watched wrestling in a long time since then but I imagine it's a lot worse

It also poisoned the well hard since the first question any UKIP polititian would get from journoscum would be the "not even rape you" thing.

Though I agree that UKIP was very much on it's way out unlike Trump who I expect won't take mucha actual damage from it. But it's another retarded "discussion ending gotcha" to deal with.

But that was the point. I can not say 100% but given how perfectly it lined up I can not see how it was not intentional.

What you need to understand is how much the media had unendingly poisoned the Brexit discourse with "anyone who is, in anyway, anti-EU is a far right white supremist ect ect" which might sound familior to you.

Farage had quit UKIP after the successful brexit vote and had largely disapeared from political life after basicaly declairing victory in everything he wanted to achive, but after May completly/deliberatly (delete which you prefer) fucked up actualy leaving the EU, he came back and set up a new party, literaly called the Brexit party to compete in the EU election as a final fuck you to europe and to show westminster that voters hadn't forgotten about the referendum.

The brexit party was shockingly affective at bringing in candidates and suporters from across the spectrum, left and right coming together to tell Brussels to go fuck themselves, and the media (especaly socal media) completly ignored them, because they had spent the previous couple of decades pouring all their hated at UKIP and they couldn't change target fast enough.

Into this steps Sargon, who clearly was trying to emulate Trump in constantly saying "shocking things" and generaly coming across to normies as a skin-head in a suit, which the media completly fed into.

All of which meant that normies, head full of "all brexiters are evil" propaganda instead went, no it's UKIP that is full of racists, this shiny new Brexit party led by that well-spoken Mr Farage is the party for people who don't like the EU for sound economic and political reasons, leading to a party that was only a few months old comfortably winning a major election and driving the govenment into I think 5th place, meaning May was drop kicked out of number 10 shortly after.

Tldr, Sargon was a distraction carnifex who allowed Farage to do what was needed without press interference.
