To be frank, her Pro-CP views probably aren't enough to really merit being fired. I was one of the first to show interest in it costing her her job, but looking back on it I think we greatly overplayed it.

Yes, she thinks owning CP shouldn't be illegal. However, she made it explicitly clear she does not condone sexual abuse of children under any circumstances.

Yes, she believes in "child sexual agency". However, she has never had a known sexual encounter with someone under any US AoC. Suggesting otherwise is pure speculation.

Her views are shitty and myopic, but they don't in of themselves merit her getting fired. If she were a cop, or a teacher, or a social worker or other such job where her politics might skew her perspectives enough to endanger children, it'd be one thing. But from a lame PR gig for Nintendo? The only thing that'd be a problem is her (rarely expressed) controversial politics would conflict with Nintendo's corporate image. But to be honest, her risque Sexy Nerd photo ops are far more visible and much more patently out of line with Nintendo's policies.

Rapp was always a lolcalf at best. The most we've gotten out of this was the goddamn hornet's nest of SJWs getting kicked over.

Also like Nintendo actually gives a shit about CP. Japan's AoC is 13 lol.

It's actually not. Japan's penal code does technically set it at 13 BUT it is overruled by the Child Welfare Act which prohibits having sex with anyone under 18. Some prefectures make exceptions for teenagers in relationships but for all intents and purposes their AoC is 18. This misunderstanding of laws is what makes Rapp's views seem "more reasonable" to some people so it should always be made clear.
