This is probably my favorite part about this whole thing. Rapp hasn't been that vocal outside of the announcement. Probably because she knows she's not in any real financial danger because of her photo op commissions and her supportive cuckhold husband. Also she's a cute nerd girl. Easy, decent-paying work-at-home jobs won't be hard to come by.

But Twitter erupting in a perfect storm of autism over those nasty gragamagooters has been darkly hilarious. Kotaku and other clickbait sites are shitting out yellow article after yellow article. Flynt is descending on this battlefield like a tranny Angel of Death, intent on making the whole thing about him. Dobson is yelling at clouds. It's a fucking circus and it's great.

Sure, but that was mostly because of international pressure. Japan also only legislated a national ban on CP like four years ago for the same reason.

I won't question it's a shitty, immoral opinion. My only point is she isn't a (confirmed) pedophile.

Rapp is an asshole through and through. But she was a PR shill for a video game company and mostly just tweeted screencaps and her exhaustive collection of Rey action figures. Her politics never put any actual children in danger. And it's pretty obvious they aren't the whole reason she got the boot.

To be honest though, her opinions are still pretty scuzzy. I'm not gonna call for blood, but like I first said when this thread opened, I certainly won't lose any sleep over this.

A person working for Nintendo has explicitly expressed sympathy for pedophiles and believes CP shouldn't be illegal. We're celebrating the fact she got fired, because it was an actual surprise. However people are outraged by this, because she is a woman, and are subsequently boycotting Nintendo.

Her comments would not be out of place on VirPed. Do they make her a pedo? Not necessarily, but they make her a pedo apologist and let's not pretend otherwise.

Her viewpoints go beyond purely academic arguments about AoC laws. Thousands of papers have been written on that topic and it's perfectly possible to argue for their revision without actively supporting those who possess child pornography.

Even if the child porn should be legal thing isn't the main reason she got fired, it's a safe move that they did. Since Nintendo is a company who products are mostly aimed at children and families, that their target audience. If parents somehow found out that Nintendo have a worker that say child porn should be legal they would be outraged. They rather lose a hand full of college aged adults rather than their target audience.
