Because the dominant class who arbitrary seized the power millennials ago decreed only some kind of body can only express some gender.
The proletariat became too busy enforcing strict gender noms to question the legitimacy of the dominant class.

Nowadays, if you want to express a different gender, you feel the need to change your body to make it match with societal expectation and big pharma pressure you into it.
But if you were raised in a different civilization like some native tribes, you would be able to choose your gender without feeling the need to change your body.

Tribal societies didn't have "genders" that they could choose. The concept of "third gender", which I know is what you're referring to, is something that was made up relatively recently, using the equally fictional concept of gender expression as its foundation. The role exists, in a very small number of tribal societies, but it isn't a "gender" and it isn't something that could be chosen at will; it was a socially enforced position that homosexuals, specifically, were forced to take within a highly sex-segregated social environment, which hunter-gatherer societies definitely were.

The tendency to sex segregation isn't something that was forced on us by any dominant class, but is an innate tendency within our species, that has existed in every society and group that we have ever had any ability to document, including uncontacted amerindian tribes, who could never have been so oppressed by your "dominant class" as the rest of the world.

e: I forgot my last point. The concept of "gender expression" has rolled back the idea that men and women can be and do whatever they want, by creating "gender roles" and then forcing people into those tightly defined boxes. Trans shit requires that "gender" be an immutable trait that is separate from physical sex, so that people can be tricked into thinking that their "gender" is different to their "sex", when they engage in "gendered" behaviours outside of the gender role that is associated with their physical sex. It's regressive and restrictive, and has turned back decades of progress toward equal rights, purely to give a bunch of fetishists philosophical cover for their degenerate behaviours.

More importantly than putting on a wig and cat ears, why do people disrupt their bodies' regular processes with physically and mentally altering chemicals and mangle it with radical surgeries? I'm not even talking about the obvious "cutting off your penis." When a woman has a radical mastectomy, they remove lymph nodes and this can have devastating consequences, as an example.

And those strict gender roles limit women's ability to do things like work outside the home, run for office, and participate in the public sphere. Gender roles for women in Afghanistan mean they have to wear a burkha, in Russia domestic violence and marital rape is fine.
It's a misogynist patriarchial script, predictable. Getting rid of spaces where women congregate and go to the bathroom etc, without men, means they're limited to stay in the home more. What woman wants to pee in a public restroom in Portland now? The solution is to stay home more.

I know weve noticed before how the art seems to devolve in the last few years in the regular comic but less so in the furry one...but this one strikes me as a devolution of art quality for the furry one too. Also, normally this comic gets backgrounds but not anymore I guess.

You piqued my curiosity, so I checked on the old Waffles accounts. Every last one of them has either been deleted or deactivated (except for the Patreon, which has only one patron.) I don't know if Labelle did it himself, or if the other websites did it for him because he was bad publicity. His Pastel Sexy Times Patreon still has 105 patrons, but it hasn't updated since June.
