The most horrifying thing, to me, is that egg_irl demonstrates that troon shit can and will get worse than it already is. The attitude of "you don't need dysphoria to be trans" and "haha what if you're trans, better get on hormones before it's too late" with much winking and nodding to go around is becoming the MAINSTREAM tranny opinion. It's no longer confined to the damp corners of the fag web, it's becoming NORMAL.

What the fuck is a "pluscum"?

I was wondering that myself, a google search for "pluscum" brings up an article on the "multiplicity and plurality wiki" which claims the following:

"Pluscum/Plurscum: A term proposed as an alternative to traumascum (but not coined)[3]by Grey Skies and The Network. This term is also less frequently used due to the -scum ending. Other plurals, including The Crisses, have spoken out on Twitter against the term[4], due to it having "scum" in it."

Traumascum, of course (absolute insanity) meaning:

This term is largely not accepted and used within the community[1], due to its implication that DID/OSDD-1 exclusionists are scum, and that they are specifically scum because they are traumatized. As far as I can tell, it's some autistic term meant to deride those who don't think people with "systems" of identities actually have those "systems" unless they've got a psychiatric diagnosis pertaining to DID or one of its associated disorders.

Not only are they pushing for everybody to use hormones at the first sign of not comforming to rigid gender stereotypes, they actively groom children and that post makes it clear. It's so disgusting.

Pretty much, if you don't conform at all times to an extremely rigid and, somewhat ironically, sexist notion of gender roles, you're "probably trans" and should be "broken out of your egg".

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the influential mods on the subreddit hold radical transhumanist or post-Marxist ideas on gender and see it as their duty to destroy even biological norms, which, of course, are repressive.

I was actually thinking about this on a walk the other day, theyre fucking stupid. And I think that was the novelty for a while, their popularity boomed with loot box subscriptions too--I remember that being the time I really started people 'collecting' them.

But I think, okay fine around 2010 you could go, 'They look fuckin stupid but theyre kinda cute--Its like a cat with a lazy eye or a dog with no bottom teeth so its tongue is just always hanging out, its stupid and its a hassle, but you kind of love it for it.'

But now its like people who bought into them dont want to let go of it. I could maybe understand if you sunk like thousands into it too, like Pokemon cards or something, you really wanna believe THIS mint holo is worth like 200 dollars or whatever, but, idk.

Something I don't understand more than the idea of funko pops being popular is why there are so goddamn many of them. Pretty much everywhere I try to shop around my town there are at least 2-4 shops with walls stocked with nothing but funko pops invading the entire store, sometimes two or three walls/shelves with nothing but these plastic toys - very much like as seen in the reddit posts. What really sucks is before they were a thing these shops had much cooler stuff in them, like all sorts of role playing books/miniatures or figurines of actually good quality.
