Chinese Communist Party Megathread - Cold War 2: Electric Boogaloo

since the far left are the ones (or were) supporting lockdowns/mask/vaccines
I wonder how the MSM and Biden Administration will report on the Chinese protest
Also, curious if leftist celebs, e-celebs, late night hosts, etc. will comment on these Chines protest
especially when the left got lots of things wrong about Covid, vaccines, masks, social distracting, Lab leak, etc..
this Chinese anti-lock down protest will get interesting if it gets bigger

They'll just say it's Pmurt/Q-Anon/Alt-Right/"Freedom Convoy", to discredit it. Or say that it's scripted footage that was recorded in a different country.

The CCP can't run over all those students in Tiananmen Square! They just won't do it!!!!
Nah they'll just draft them and force them to invade the Indian border only for them to come home crying after getting rocks hurled at them.
>Russia is collapsing
>China is collapsing
>Iran is collapsing
>Brazil is set to implode
>Franco-Germanic Europe is going to kill itself
>Turkey's economy is going to shit
>Nigeria might collapse
>North Korea might prolapse
>Hungary might relapse
>Ukraine (basically an equally corrupt, smaller version of Russia) might ultimately end up bifurcated
>Qatar is getting scrutinized more and more, and its soft power is all but annihilated
>Justin Trudeau is getting investigated
>Pakistan is getting flooded
>Sri Lanka already imploded

Gentlemen, even though it might be shit now, don't you all love living in the Great Republic of the United States of America?
Don't forget Philippines getting a Marcos back in power. And bridging a relationship back with US. Oh and DU30's daughter is there too.

If things are popping off to this extent, the covid lockdowns and the housing market collapse must be worse than we thought.

It's a dangerous time. The CCP authorities will do everything possible, including attacking Taiwan, to keep power.

I'm also guessing Xi cementing power and disappearing his predecessor didn't sit well.

For all the "bug people" bullshit you hear you got to respect the balls those chinese have protesting like that knowing well they could be disappeared and nothing will happen, they would be erased and that would be it.

The average american here would shit themselves if faced with that situation, let alone the euros who are used to brussels fisting them every week. And yet here you have "the bugs" charging the massive flyswatter that is their government.

Shit really is hitting the fan, hopefully this does not die down quietly.

Barely nothing is happening here in the philippines other than faggot elites fucking each other over business and politics and food prices soaring.
This is not directed at you but the amount of doom and crying over marcos is sooooo fucking overblown, why do foreigners think we'll be fucked? We're already fucked since the beginning of this nation, just because the retard losing party (who are very much the mirror of amerimutt democrats) and flip mainstream media(typical journoscum tactics are also applied here) cries to westerners about marcos or duterte doesn't mean we're now in a dark era. My 3rd world shithole always had corrupt government, it's just the new rulers are not in line with the past politcal rulers (like big business oligarchs). the anti-current government politcal group loves to paint themselves as good people as if their politicians didn't silently kill off people they don't like way way before dutere ever allegedly did. And we're always gonna be china's bitch, almost all the non-franchise stores that are big have rich chink owners with billions of chinese products (because it's cheap).
In my opinon BB Marcos is not gonna do anything tyranical in definition because he's gonna be dealing with manila city scum politics for years. Too much fucking corruption from the top to the bottom, so no I'm not that worried about the new president and vice president because whats the difference? At least it's not another manila faggot in charge.

This is fake news. The footage in question is from Taiwan, where the people are protesting against Western capitalist oppression.

Well the West was putting the past two female presidents on a pedastal, despite the fact there was mass corruption those days. Anyone remember President Arroyo's embarrassing State of the Nation Address where she mentioned her inspiration came from a paper boat from the dead Pasig River? Heck she appeared more on Philippine media in the most sensationalized way Obama did before Obama.

So honestly how long can China keep going down this route? I mean with the demographic crisis, Covid lockdowns, and increasing despotism, something has to give.
I don't think it will be too much longer. The demographic collapse is hastening, the years of China's exploding economy are over, the housing bubble has yet to completely burst, and when it does, it will take most of China's economy with it. This is on top of the corruption, environmental degradation, and a 70+ year old leader with no real successor. Things are about to get ugly. Chinese Civil War 2: Electric Boogaloo coming right up.

And in China, it seems like there's not a lot to keep the masses busy, and the bread and circuses method only works if 1. there's enough bread and circus to go around and 2. the quality of said bread and circuses is at a level where people can enjoy them.
The thing is that the CCP government under Xi is the reason the Chinese no longer have any bread and circuses; they got rid of them all, cracking down on everything from celebrities, to video games, all in an attempt to make everyone focus on the party. What Xi is about to realize is that this only mean there is nothing to distract the masses from their miserable lives and how bad things have gotten. China, for decades has had a kind of social contract in place; the Chinese people would be allowed to make money and enjoy comfortable lives, while the party would stay in power and do whatever it wanted. The party has broken that contract; the economy is in shambles, nobody is comfortable, people can't even move freely in their own country, much less leave it, people's savings are being wiped out and they can't even get their money out of the banks, etc. The Chinese government has broken the social contract, and now its time to pay the termination penalty.

The CCP authorities will do everything possible, including attacking Taiwan, to keep power.
Attacking Taiwan would only hasten their demise.

What's impressive was that the protesters gather without the ability to organize/coordinate like in any other countries, so most (if not all) of them came without knowing whether or not they will be alone in their protest. And yet they still did it

Edit:
Also, again, its funny to know that one of the possible cause for this wave of protest was that the Chinese watched how free people are in World Cup matches

I honestly don't think anyone but Chinese citizens know how bad it is, and they sure as hell aren't going to tell us.
There are those who are willing to talk, but generally, they are people who have already left China, or are only willing to talk anonymously. Open protesting isn't new in China either; there are open protests somewhere in China every year. What is new is the scale, the vitriol, and the fact that people are openly calling for changes in the regime, something that would have been unthinkable a few years ago.

Brings a tear to the eye, doesn’t it? Also, Qatar seems to be the gift that keeps on giving.

“Nothing to lose, everything to gain, so fuck it.” Is a real appealing sales pitch if you can present it the right way.

If Xi’s term is any indication, sounds like he’s bound to do some more pro gamer moves.

Also, some in China remember the worst of Mao and Tianamen. Parents and grandparents can easily tell their younger ones things they saw with their own eyes, despite what the government says.

Give me a billion optimistic ratings but I think this time something is going to happen. Why? Because you can't imprison hundreds of millions of people in their own homes for years with no end in sight. China was also dumb enough to show thousand of happy people without masks during the world cup on TV so people could see trough the CCPs lies and fear mongering. The CCP went too far with Zero Covid.
Even though I think it is optimistic, I'd like to see a change indeed.

You're not the only one, I'd like to see a change as well.

Edit: The guys of American Thinker posted a good rant about China.

Eric Hoffer can tell us a lot about what's going on in China right now

By Monica Showalter

The huge protests engulfing China right now against lockdowns have left a lot of people wondering if these are just protests. The size, and scope, and vehemence, and fearlessness of the Chinese public against their very oppressive communist masters has made them appear to be a mass movement. In Shanghai, they are calling for the ouster of the entire Communist Party of China. When a billion-strong nation rises up on a cause that has unified them such as this, there's clearly the scent of revolution in the air.
The New York Times did a huge spread on the matter this morning, and it is worth looking at here.
I wrote about its particulars with Twitter videos from Chinese locals yesterday here.
