If it makes you feel any better, while we won't be getting the 800k milestone, by the end of this year Jim will have lost roughly $30k in Patreon donations. You can guarantee he's fucking seething about that, even if he's still getting paid far too much.
How is he getting cancelled over these comments? Everything he has said comes across as reasonable and even explains he understands that he may be old fashioned, or out of touch, but it's just not for him and he doesn't want to hurt women because he's got a 20 year old daughter.
Your first mistake was approaching the topic as a rational human. Anything that points out men and women are actually different (for any reason) is verboten and has to be memory-holed.
Or maybe it's just because when he says stuff like this it shines a light on how fucked up it is that dickless lunatics like Fallon Fox get to assault women, professionally, and be applauded for it.
How the fucking fuck did Jim even get Scotty to drag his ass out of retirement long enough to be considered booked? I know dude was mid-card at best, even in his heyday, but he's still a name, one that you'd think would cost far more than what Jim could throw at him, especially considering how long, to my knowledge, he's been out.
Edit: Also, when Scotty 2 motherfucking Hotty, a man who's entire gimmick was silly dances and sillier hats, calls you a joke? Just hang up the leotard.

If he'd said something along the lines of "I don't fight women because they are weak" or "women are too easy to beat", etc, then I'd understand backlash but not when he's basically saying that he'd constantly be thinking of his daughter getting hurt while doing it or thinking "this is someone else's daughter" while wrestling.
I thought the article was going to be all about him refusing to accept trans women as women, or something.
It's also worth pointing out that wrestling, while extremely fake, is still actually extremely dangerous.
Doing moves incorrectly - ones involving a person's head or neck - can be fatal or permanently disabling. Women wrestlers often receive less training and have significantly reduced physical strength compare to their male counterparts, to wrestle one is akin being OK with dying.
Additionally - while wrestling is fake, people do take the "lore" of the stories somewhat seriously. If you (as a man) get beat up by a woman on Monday Night Raw, no one is going to take you seriously when you fight another man for a title at the next PPV. Losing an intergender match often is a death knell for a wrestler's career (save for Chyna, she was just treated as a man basically).

Furthermore, there are very definite differences between male and female wrestling styles. The only male wrestlers to regularly go against females in WWE for example are the more acrobatic types like Reggie. And even in those "matches" they rarely even touch the women. A 300lb dude chokeslamming a girl, without proper training or technique, is just begging for someone to leave on a stretcher.

Just saw the Scotty 2 Hotty thing on twitter and had to come comment. Intergender wrestler is a pretty hot topic. Some men are for it, some men are against. Hell even some of the women wrestlers are against it. It's kind of an individual choice thing. Most people who are opposed to it feel that way because of being uncomfortable with male on female violence, even when simulated. Not because of any sort of sexism or disdain for women. Even the most upvoted posts on reddit were saying Scotty's comments were reasonable. Pisses me off to see people trying to dog pile him over it.
Also Jim should take Scotty refusing to wrestle him as a compliment since Scotty doesn't want to wrestle women.

Right, but for the progressive types the fact someone doesn't want to physically hurt a woman I think is irrelevant, because they're expecting you to get embarrassed and have your ass kicked for their enjoyment, not to actually put up a fight.
It's supposed to be like they see in their movies where some 100lb lady beats up entire squads of guys over double their size, usually without taking a single hit.
This Scotty dude probably doesn't want to wrestle these people because he knows there's absolutely no possible professional advantage to it. You lose no matter what the outcome is.

As we are currently talking about Jim's wrestling, I'd like to sperg a bit:
Jim has (in theory) all the tools for a good wrestling career, aside from his age. He's tall, wide frame and has an affinity to entertainment and entertaining people.
Tall: He's what? 6'1, 6'2? That's a good size for wrestling, on the Indi scene he'll be taller then most and in the big leagues he wouldn't have looked out of place.
Wide Frame: He's fat. But plenty of successful wrestlers have been fat. Happy Humphreyto Ace Romero. People pay to see a fat guy fall onto a consenting skinny guy.
Entertainment: Whilst it's no longer visible, he used to be good at it. And having an excentric personality on screen is exactly what wrestling is almost all about. Not your moves, but your character / gimmick is the money maker.
Let's look at this match. Not because it's special, but because it was the first I saw on youtube.
Sterling holds a promo and he doesn't seem too comfortable out there. A minute in, his opponent get's his entrance and despite not saying anything, he is much more present. More colorful, more energetic. It's ironic how the super queer enbie gendertrash orgy having rainbow sex machine Jim is so grey in comparison. In an unedited enviroment he seems so shallow and shy.
Match starts at 2:33, and whilst his opponent isn't perfect (strikes are sloppy, lack impact) he surrounds them with sound an energy. Sterling is overselling, not making noise and generally seems out of breath from talking in the beginning. He's just a blob existing.
2:53 The knee by Axel Strife was awful, just like Jim's Snapmare sell. This is a snapmare. Jim doesn't know how to roll (which can be a lifesaver in this sport), he's just ragdolling around. His bump wasn't clean, but passable. Why he was taking a bump 30 seconds into the match? I don't know, because usually big guys like Jim stagger around when hit and make their first bump a big thing 5 minutes into a match. By doing this you get a big reaction from the crowd, they are entertained and you did your job as a wrestler well.
3:00 Jim's selling is something, we call selling dead. When a wrestler sells, he sells to the crowd. They need to see their pain, their face, the wrestler screams etc. Jim is not doing that. He gets beaten up by a midget, but he's not making sound. The elbow on his back: If you are overselling the moves, then do it right: slap the canvas, bump a bit. But instead he slowly and offbeat rolls on his back, not doing anything...
3:18 Jim has no muscles in his body and he almost got pushed down by the little guy for real. What the Hell.
3:30 Strife's Irish Whip started good, but then went terrible (no energy in the middle. Irish whip done by professionals. Take a look at how Edge (dark pants) pushes his hand all the way through. By doing this it "looks", as if Purple pants ran half a feet without guidance. In Jim's match, Jim wobbles through half the ring, without his opponent doing anything. Then Jim bumps into the corner with no impact whatsoever. No stomping the ground for noise. Nothing.
3:45 Jim strikes with his left hand. Interesting. Strikes, even if you are lefthanded, are generally done with the right hand. By doing this, nobody will be caught off guard and get hit for real. And Jim isn't good enough to allow himself an exception to the rule. At least he's stomping when striking, so we get some sound. Finally.
4:00 Sideway Belly-to-Belly. Classic Big Guy move. Done underwhelmingly. Jim should be throwing this guy around like nothing, but instead he halfheartedly stumbles over his own leg. It kinda looks as if the leg has collapsed under his weight, showing once again that his man is soley fat and no muscles. Impact is underwhelming as well. Belly-to-Belly done right. Yes the camera cuts make it look more viscous, but notice how Big E is jumping back slightly. They are both landing at the same time, unlike Jim who's legs never really left the mat. His pin attempt is also awful. He's out of breath hard.
A comedy intermezzo starts, making fun of Jim's cardio. Strife is interacting with the crowd, Jim exists.
4:55 is interesting, because Alex Strife is breaking up the count-out. Don't know why though. This is another issue of the match. I don't know who's supposed to be face and who's supposed to be heel. Alex Strife should be heel (attacking Jim from behind, runing to the outside), so why would he break up the count? It's also very unusal to have the big guy be the face and the small guy be the heel. It's not unheard off, but it's relatively difficult to pull off.
5:30ish Back and forth. I have to give credit to Jim, his arms make good sound on impact, but there's little else. No crowd interaction, no other noise.
Back and Forth continues in the ring. Jim making little impact, breathing hard, small guy is doing his best.
6:50 Alex is getting water to help a man close to dying.
7:25 Waterbottles are brutal weapons and Alex Strife get's disqualified for using a foreign object. Also: Why the fuck are you bumping Jimbo???
7:50 Jim chokebombs Alex (timing is a bit off, as Jim hit's the mat before Alex does, but it's fine.
Verdict:
Match structure was weird. General rule is Establishment->Shine->Heat->Comeback->Finish (with little things in between that don't need mentioning)
Establishing: Establish who you are and if you are face or heel. I assume this was done okay, can't really say anything about it, as Sterling starts in the ring (Establishment starts when you make your entrance)
Shine: Wasn't there. The shine shows us, why we should cheer the face. Never got that, unless the promo was supposed to be that, because everyone knew that Jim wouldn't survive an extra minute of doing moves and trying to look good.
Heat: Match started with the heat. Heat is supposed to be slow and boring, so that the crowd longs for the face to comeback and do cool shit.
Comeback: Perhaps the Belly-to-Belly? But he didn't really animate the crowd, so it's hard to tell, considering it was the only time Jim got actual offense into the match. Comebacks usually consist of a big move where the face frees himself, then 2 quick moves to hype the crowd up and then a huge move to pop the hyped crowd.
Finish: the finish is the finish and can last a few minutes. It was underwhelming, bad, unexpected, dull.
What to make of this match? Jim wrestles like someone who hasn't been properly trained. He wrestles like someone that copies the moves from WWE without understanding or knowing how to execute them with impact. He is missing a lot of details that someone with his experience (almost 4 years since debut) shouldn't miss. He's not present in the match, because he's preoccupied by breathing and surviving. It seems as if he lacks proper understanding of what wrestling is (an entertainment business). He wrestles like a rookoe who just started training, not like someone with FOUR years of experience (which for Indie wrestling is a good amount, he shouldn't be like a rookie anymore). Screaming Rejoice before and after a match isn't enough. His opponent wasn't good, but at least he interacted with the audience, got some reactions from them. Jim's reactions seemed to be inspired by pity.
That also showed how Jim wrestles like a fan who's copying TV and not like someone who has been trained. This is a proper Chokeslam. It looks good, because of airtime and height. With chokeslams, impact is secondary, it's all about height and airtime. Give the audience time to comprehend what's happening

I see where you're coming from, but I really don't think this is the reason. It's definitely indulging a fantasy, but I think more likely it's either the dream of being able to manhandle a woman without anyone complaining or the delusion that there are absolutely no differences between the sexes so men fighting women should be no different to men fighting men.
If I was a betting man though, I'd definitely put my money on creepy men wanting an excuse to do weird shit to women; that's seemingly never not a factor in troon shit.
ETA to avoid double-posting: While his YouTube has slowed right down, Jim's positively haemorrhaging followers over on Twitter.
Almost double the rate of Patrick Tomlinson, Twitter's most insufferable clown.
Intro
He opens with a bit where he is adjusting himself for the thumbnail (yes I am phrasing it that way and you know why).
"This week I have been told by many people I should not be playing Dark Souls, which is interesting because, like, I really like it?" (oh god I forgot how he inflects upwards on ever single sentence).
He was on board with these games since the olden days, but bragging about credentials is not important and people who do are pathetic. He then brags about his 'massive milkers,' and complains about people telling him to 'git gut'.
Segement proper
Complains that people didn't get the fact he was joking about the downfall of twitter and the Dark Souls easy mode.
Calls Musk a 'billionaire fascist' and says he ran Twitter into the ground.
Begins good point about how people saying Twitter is dead/dying are exaggerating and that it will simply fall out of grace for some and become better for others... mainly alt-right, harassing cunts who were banned for good reasons (and there it goes).
Explains he was misunderstood joking about this and it brought out the gaming gatekeepers(tm) who perceive this as a slight on their self esteem (mighty fine projections there.)
>I am not the snowflake but here is a selection of comments from people who didn't get the semantic nuance of my comment - I didn't say it 'had' to have an easy mode, but that it 'would be fine'.
"Why is it that people who complain about pronouns in bios are such little bitches?"
Points out that if people don't like the hypothetical easy mode they could just not play it.
Makes a Faux Pas by saying that people crying about respecting an artist's vision cry when there is black or LGBTQwerty representation but uses pictures of the Rings of Power and The Last of Us II unironically.
Complains 'these people' have a problem with more folks enjoying something.
This debate was not his intent (too many half naked harley quinn pictures). He doesn't care if Dark Souls has an easy mode or not, he wouldn't use it if it had. People who do care are not reasonable. More people buying the game if it has an easy mode is a good thing.
Outro
He makes noises. Says it is tempting to get dragged into the debate on easy mode again. Tells people to not let it happen again. "Or do, I mean this channel's a dead duck, we could do with whatever little engagement we get this day." Posting this video will drag him into the debate again and it will just all be the same. The Discourse will never end!
Shut the fuck up already about the difficulty in souls games. Jim, just to fucking spite you, I will one day make a game, and if your name is Jim, the game just uninstalls itself. The entire design will be built around being named something other than Jim.
I don't even want to talk about the dumb shit he said in the video but come on, Jim has been around long enough to know what Poe's Law is and should've expected people to take him seriously because he's defended the stance before so why would him repeating it now be seen as a joke? If I was truly cynical I'd say that Jim did this knowingly so he could have something to talk about on the next Jimquisition and get asspats by all his fans for standing up to the bigots who want to push the 'less able' that want to play Dark Souls.
I'm a retard and I've beat every souls game. Unless you're missing limbs, I don't get why its so insane, and if you're missing limbs, you probably have bigger issues.
