Subject: Press inquiry: NewsGuard review of KiwiFarms.net
Hello,
I'm Zack Fishman, and I'm a reporter with NewsGuard, a service that reviews news and information websites for credibility and transparency. These reviews are intended to help readers have more context for the news they read online.
I'm currently working on a review of KiwiFarms.net, and I have some questions about the site's content, moderation, and transparency practices, if someone is available to provide comment. I have listed my questions below:
1. Who/what owns KiwiFarms.net? My understanding is that Joshua Moon owns it through 1776 Solutions, LLC, but please confirm whether that is correct.
2. Does Kiwi Farms have a comment on why the site's ownership is not prominently disclosed on the site?
3. I noticed that 1776 Solutions, LLC was founded under the name "Final Solutions, LLC." Was this name a reference to the Nazi plan to genocide Jews?
4. I noticed that Kiwi Farms often encourages its members to be anonymous and leave no trace to their real identity, such as on the Register page. Why does the site push anonymity for its users?
5. How does Kiwi Farms handle its moderation? What kinds of content are removed from the site?
6. Following Cloudflare's recent refusal to service the site after many Kiwi Farms users harassed Clara Sorrenti ("Keffals"), leading to the site briefly being down, has the site changed its policies or other approaches to content moderation?
7. Large portions of Kiwi Farms are dedicated to harassing people, including Sorrenti and at least three people who died by suicide after receiving harassment from Kiwi Farms users — Chloe Sagal, Julie Terryberry, and Near. Why does the site allow harassment-related content? Does Kiwi Farms have a comment on its role in the harassment of these four people?
8. I found some examples of Kiwi Farms users apparently publishing false and misleading claims about issues including COVID-19, the 2020 U.S. election, and the Russia-Ukraine war:
As a heads up, we incorporate quotes from our correspondences into our published reviews, so this conversation should be considered on the record.
Thank you,

© 2021 Lolcow LLC is on the bottom of every single page. If you can't be bothered to look at the site to find answers to your questions, why would I bother to answer your hitpiece email?

Hi Josh,
I asked my first question to learn from you how exactly the site is owned. So to confirm, is it true that Lolcow LLC owns the site, and that you are the sole owner of Lolcow LLC? If this is the case, I have a follow-up question in addition to my previous questions:
9. Do you believe that mentioning the owner of the website only in a copyright mark at the bottom of the page is a reader-friendly disclosure of the site's ownership?
Thanks,
Zack

8. I found some examples of Kiwi Farms users apparently publishing false and misleading claims about issues including COVID-19, the 2020 U.S. election, and the Russia-Ukraine war:
- In November 2022, "Random Internet Person" quoted a post by cartoonist Ben Garrison, who said: "He [Donald Trump] wants to make America great again, but he was unable to follow through because the 2020 election was stolen from him. Yes, I deny that election. Democrat operatives used 3rd-world nation style election fraud. The voting machines, the massive mail-in ballots, the ballot harvesting and drop boxes, and the the fact that Trump was drawing tens of thousands at rallies while unpopular Joe hid in his basement points to fraud. The long delays in the counting process enabled the Democrats to double-count votes for ‘D,’ while also allowing the delivery of ballots on pallets to put Biden ahead."
There was not widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election that "stole" a win from Trump, and many of Garrison's examples of the supposed fraud are baseless conspiracy theories. - In October 2022, "Slack Jaw Hemoglobin" said: "Lucky for you that good old polyethylene glycol greased those MRNA delivered spike proteins up so they could make it past your deltoid and into your capillary system, wreaking havoc and causing microclots and permanent damage to your heart, lungs and brain. The added benefit of the reverse transcription to your DNA weakening your immune system is icing on the cake."
Studies have found that spike proteins generated from COVID-19 mRNA vaccines do not damage the brain or other organs following vaccination. This user's claims therefore seem to be false. - In March 2022, "Miss Tommie Jayne Wasserberg" said: "the Azov battalion blew up the theater in Mariupol , blaming the Russians."
Investigations by The Associated Press, Human Rights Watch, and other organizations all concluded that Russia was responsible for the bombing of the Mariupol theater that resulted in hundreds of civilian deaths. They also did not find evidence that the Azov Regiment was responsible for the attack.
As a heads up, we incorporate quotes from our correspondences into our published reviews, so this conversation should be considered on the record.
