I'm surprised by the question, unless I'm misunderstanding it. It's for the same reason that the world at large (at least the western world) opines on it: it's everywhere. Part of it is sportslike for us and it certainly is for a large segment of Americans (at least online.)

Here in Canada our media is mostly American, our social media is mostly American, cultural influence (particularly the worst of it, very sadly) is mostly American, etc. Add to it that if you're on the "Right" here in Canada, there's really nothing for you. There's no real "Right wing" here, there's no prominent "Right wing" media here so to speak. At best there's what, The Blaze? Basically no one has heard of that outside of online politispergs and they might as well be slightly spicier Fox News anyway. Our politicians from the "Conservative" Party are hardly distinguishable from the Liberal Party ones; while it's also like this for the most part in the States as well, it's even more obvious here.

Not to mention that if you're trying to make money online as a commentator or something you're going to get a lot more eyes on you for obvious reasons. Look at bigger online political commentators like Steven Crowder, Lauren Southern and Lauren Chen: all Canadian, the former and the latter live in America now, and all three primarily discuss American politics. No one really cares about Canadian politics for the most part since it's pretty much agreed upon that there's no point. I'd be willing to bet a small sum that if I polled the average Canadian they wouldn't be able to name a single premier outside of the one for their home province; meanwhile I bet that the average Canadian could rattle off at least as much info on American politics as the average American can (even if it's going to be very biased to the Left in most cases.)

As far as American politics...no. It goes beyond Canuckistan or Britbongland or Australia in that politics in the United States until very recently was balkanized. In the southern states, outside of cities, even the Democrats tend to be more conservative. The opposite is true of Republicans in the NE and West.

Well you know it's just whenever i visit here i am bored and i wanna give my unsolicited opinion just for the sake of shitting out a post. This whole website is built on that. I like speaking my mind, other people do too. However people like Asston and Tardski are the terminally online and mentally ill version of that. Politics and voting themselves don't really matter, it always was a sham, a circus act, everyone knows that yet nobody does anything about it. It really doesn't matter who will go up there the same thing will always happen without fail. Believe it or not the vast majority thinks the exact same thing yet everyone thinks they are alone. A beautiful paradox with a disgusting result.
