Currently playing the horror game Yomawari 3 on Switch (halfway through gathering the memory items), before getting into Samurai Maiden later this week

It's been now a full year since I've gotten the OLED model, and two years of Switch so far.

They made Pauline wear a red pantsuit and heels, she's now a Girlboss.

Since Cranky Kong(aka The Original Donkey Kong) is present I wonder how they're going to explain that away. He was the one who abducted her in the original Donkey Kong. That and Donkey Kong is probably not a name anymore, but a title.

Personally I'm more curious about the scale because in the game Mario only came up to her waist. Here it looks like everyone including the background characters have the same proportions as the mario brothers. Pauline in Odyssey had to have normal proportioned humans next to her in NDC, but here they're absent.

Not gonna lie, the first trailer actually made me think the movie could have been alright, but this new one gives me the impression that they are cramping as much of the mario universe into this movie as possible, which imo is the wrong way to do it, they should just have made it a simple story about mario going from ND to the mushsoom kingdom and saving Peach.
The new trailer makes it look like some kind of team movie where Peach is the leader, Mario is the guy learning to be a hero, they get DK to join them and rescue luigi who also joins them later on to finish the job, and then finish with some karting or something.

Yeah I had that same feeling, you're now seeing too much shit from the mario spinoffs.

But at least we know Funky Kong will exist. He's in one of the cars at the end with a weird Kong riding on back.
