While I'm not saying he'd bone an actual animal, he definitely has a greater proclivity for animals than most normal people. He draws furries having sex, his sexual fantasies involve turning into a furry, and he drew his deceased dog as a furry. Chris coming up with "defenses" in his competency stint at Western just showed this non remorse even still, with Chris stating that no, it was his victim's fault because she "groomed" him for years, and was very abusive.
Good lawyers are obligated to do what their clients tell them to do. Like it or not, it is the client and not the lawyer who is captain of the case.
If Chris makes a fool of himself enough to be kicked out of the courtroom. It would be the best for Heilberg who gets to operate almost autonomously at that point.
The problem with that, Heilberg went into this thinking Chris was of diminished competency, hence the world tour of having all kinds of tests and evaluations done on him. Even after the Grand Jury indictment, he's still playing it like Chris is some tard that needs help rather than a trial and prison, yet Chris is fighting him on every front.
Diminished capacity isn't legal insanity nor is it incompetence to stand trial. They're three different things.
Chris is still in jail according to Vine though, he's not been transferred to a place that can perform the evaluation.

It would make sense that if someone is a bumbling idiot who'd mess up the entire trial by refusing to cooperate, the court would allow the lawyer to just stop listening to them. If Heilberg faithfully represented Chris, Chris would very likely tell Heilberg to lie to the court and say the incest call never happened, or that Bella is a lying Judas who can't be trusted. He'd make a fool of himself and Chris would get prison time.
