I hate that name so much. I know someone might argue that little boys are always into body humor (penises, poop and farts primarily) but there's just something off about that one in this context. It also always reminds me of troons who take hormonal cocktails in order to induce lactation so that they can "breast feed" the newborn babies their wives have birthed to reaffirm that they are True and Honest women. I try not to go all "this is perverting the natural order of things" too often but...this is perverting the natural order of things.

That's not what most people are horrified by it. Sure, they try to pass it as "lactate" because the kid is a "baby", but that's also an slang for making a guy coom.

So he got in trouble for looking up stuff related to sexuality on his SCHOOL device. Wonder why he couldn't look it up at home . . .

My theory is that he is perhaps waking up to what is being done to him, and trying to find resources to help, but since his mom is the active abuser and in control of his SM/devices he had to try on a device she doesn't have primary access to. Only it was flagged and the school told his mom and Desmond lied about what he was really looking up and his mom used that as an excuse to keep parading her agenda.

Otherwise, if things are as open about sexualitu in their home as they make it out to be on SM why would desmond even need to research such a topic to begin with?

Lol the article says he "looked up the definition of sexuality."..Somehow I think that's a highly sanitized and disingenuous description, and he used his school device because because even in his house what he was actually looking at is not the kind of thing teen boys want their parents to know they're watching/doing. Aka very age-inappropriate stuff, possibly borderline illegal or just superfreaky*, and probably having "personal conversations."

* I'm so late, I know, but an interview with Michael Fucking Alig at age 12ish? This child is not doing Birds and Bees 101 "understanding your changing body" research.

Most kids would just be rightfully mortified at getting caught and realizing that someone might know EVERYTHING, but in today's world we turn shame (and misbehavior) into a personal crusade. This "flip the narrative" shtick is getting really old.
