NYC has had a huge spike in crimes committed by homeless mentally ill people recently. Just this year something like 30 people have been pushed onto subway tracks and a few were killed. A huge proportion of our homeless population relies on the subway for shelter unlike in other cities where you have encampments or similar, so there's more mixing and interaction with the general population.

Eric Adams our mayor is this weird character, he's a black ex-NYPD officer Democrat who tends to get into some sleazy/showboating territory. Because of his cop background he's less of a massive SJW pussy than most other mayors of liberal cities. By doing this he's getting a lot of terminally online SJWs who have no idea of the reality of urban life pissed off.

These people obviously have no idea what it's like to ride a train at 2 pm on a weekday with some crackhead who keeps trying to push open the doors of the moving train or screams like he's having an exorcism or who follows you out of the station when you're about to get home. A while ago I had to wait with a woman who had just been assaulted in public to make sure she was OK until cops showed up.

People who are privileged enough to never have to deal with the issue close up at all sure love to judge those who do for being more privileged than the people who are committing these offenses. They all have this weird simplistic view of mentally ill people as only being a danger to themselves and incapable of hurting others when that's really not the case, it's SJW bullshit that's desperate to find some kind of victim/oppressor dynamic.

Polissa probably thinks the subways are full of tortured geniuses who feel sad because they had to eat rice and beans instead of a Jimmy dean bowl and now there are literally Bahnhofseinsatzgruppen patrolling the subways to round up all the wannabe Van Goghs.

The thing that bothers me the most about that situation, specifically, is that she thinks because she has CPTSD that she knows what it’s like to be seriously mentally ill enough to where she identifies with people who are so mentally ill that they’ve become homeless because they’re not mentally competent enough to take care of themselves. Uh, no, bitch. Crazy hobos are not your comrades. You don’t struggle to survive because your brain is plotting against you. You don’t get to claim that shit. And that’s all it is. Not actual compassion. Just wanting to seem oppressed. As always.

Alright, that's it. This Walmart receipt pissed me off so much I had to do a comparison. I know a lot of you fine frens on this board aren't burgerlanders, but I am, and I live in a part of the country with very similar prices and selections as Polissa. I have written and backspaced a million angry words about being poor, but I know many of y'all have been in a similar place, so I won't go there. I want to illustrate how absolutely fucking wasteful and lazy this bitch is, and I am going to do so via comparison shopping.

This is what $92.75 will buy you from a Walmart in my mostly-comparable southern US area. (The truth is, it is a bit MORE expensive to live here than in Bumfuck, Alabama, but I digress.) This is without taking EBT into account, which is available to use on 75% of the items in this cart. I even included not-shit-tier food and litter for a normal number of household cats. When I was hand-to-mouth poor, I prioritized my (one) cat's needs, as I'm sure most of you would do.




Sincerest apologies for the size of this post (an absolute unit), but I wanted her receipts included for easy reference.

Edit: I keep looking at this list and seeing ways to save money if you're willing to give up time. My poorbitch days were when I was working two jobs, leaving my shitbox apartment at 6:30 and not getting back until 10pm. Swap the cereal and milk (milk was a luxury I didn't buy back then, as I was not on EBT) with potatoes or more vegetables, keep only one of either the butter or the cooking oil, as they have similar functions, and add more rice and beans (lol), and you can save even more money.

I've lived in HCOL cities and her receipts boggle the mind. She's either making the worst possible name brand choices (likely) or Bama prices are incredibly high. I know they tax food, which of course Polly cried about... But she doesn't pay the tax because SNAP.

I wouldn't put it past her to make up that the cat is sick, but she's just not that creative and more likely would have exaggerated something real. I expect he, at the least, has (or had by the miracle of his immune symptom) symptoms of infection.

I have a theory that Gomez's UTI problems are more caused by his lack of proper litter boxes than infection. I doubt the boxes get scooped regularly either. Gomez probably takes his business elsewhere, and Polly looked up that a cat not using the litterbox is a sign of UTI. It could be, but cats don't like dirty pans.

I don't think the poor cat is going to see a vet til it's too late, if even then.

I’ve been wondering about that, as well. I could very well see Gomez just pissing elsewhere instead of filthy boxes used by multiple cats. But she recently said, I think when she was singing the praises of her Chinese wonder drug, that he doesn’t yowl anymore when he’s going. That sounds more like a blockage or crystals. Or maybe a UTI from the nasty boxes. Wouldn’t that cause painful urination?

That $92 bucks would have stretched further if she bought Great Value but alas Poorlissa wont dare think about getting the walmart breakfast bowls~. Pretty much everything on there is pre-made or a ridiculous choice for someone on a budget. $9 for precooked fajita chicken, $3.50+ for Mexican crema (something wrong with $1.50 sour cream?), those fucking JD bowls, an unnecessary thing of summer sausage and since I was just at Wally World, I know those four soups at the top are the large cans of Campbell's Chunky.

Yeah, we all know Gomez isn't going to the vet.

Didn't she mention an outdoor BBQ at some point? A cast iron pan can go directly onto one for cooking and you can get them for less than $20. I doubt she'll put in the effort to take care of it (even as someone who's not lazy and retarded I find it tedious) but it's better than nothing
