People you used to watch, before they were fags (or you stopped being one) - A fall from grace

I used to kind of actually like iDubbbz videos. It's hard to overlook the massive shit show his personal life has become, but I think I'd still give his content a chance if it was still good. It's not though and hasn't been for a long time now, and that's if and when he actually does post. It's a shame what a guy is willing to reduce his life to for a little bit of BPD pussy, but in the end I guess that just means he was actually just a tard all along.

Youtube:
Two Best Friends Play is the most painful one for me. While their main channel is dead, I never followed their solo stuff because of how awful Pat and Woolie's stuff is and how dull Matt's is.

Everything else I feel like I just dropped them because I either out grew it or the person stopped uploading.

Podcasts:
TDS spread like the plague among podcasts and what was fun stuff to listen to at work quickly became annoying and mean-spirited so I ended up dropping podcasts I was a huge fan of like the F plus and The Dollop.

I really liked the Killstream back when Ethan Ralph was the Jerry Springer of the Alt-Right/Internet Bloodsports crowd. Stopped around the time Zidane left and Ralph's ego became big enough to develop its own gunt.
Followed him actively again for a while as an alog after the infamous corn joke fully pushed him over the threshold of lolpigdom.

Yea its honestly pretty surreal to see how far ealph has fallen in such a short amount of time. Zidane really was the glue holding all the fat and crazy together. Gator has always been pure cringe though

I used to like Raz0rfist but as he became more political I lost interest, except to make fun of him. I outgrew his twin styxhexenhammer666 because he just stopped being funny or relevant. That and I got tired of him shilling for Bit Chute and other sites at the start of every fucking video.

I used to watch some from the atheist/skeptic community during the Atheism+ debacle and up through Gamer Gate when it became abundantly clear they were idiots. Without Sargon and thunderf00t sperging so much no one would know who the fuck Anita Sarkeesian even is.

Not an e-celeb, but The Colbert Report used to be enjoyable satire, not just of right-leaning pundits but of the whole cult of celebrity in general. Colbert lost his whole mind with Trump Derangement and is utterly cringe now.

Kinda feel the same about John Oliver
I loved the daily show with John Stewart way back then and thought these guys were really funny. But this was also a time when I thought Michael Moore made good movies. So yeah.

Mr. Repzion is someone whose content I used to like back in the day, but now I don’t really see why I ever liked his content at all.

The sponsorship shilling is pretty jarring, but that can be said for all content creators nowadays

Retsuparae, given its SA roots, went downhill earlier than most.

Believe it was around 2012-13 I stopped watching.
Fond memories of watching their content from years ago. I used to love that shit, especially the longplay of Darkseed 2. I can't even remember what it was that caused me to stop watching and unsubscribe.

The more I look back, the more I wonder if their campaign against Pewds back in the day was motivated by petty jealousy.

Up until that point, SA held onto the Let's Play format with an iron grip. Then one day, here comes some random Swede who takes the 'net by storm, and goons being goons, they cannot allow that. So they dig up all of Felix's old vids (much like a cancel attempt these days), and heckle him en masse. Sure, they got Felix to shift gears, but who's the multimillionaire in the end? Still Felix. All of RP's associates either threw in the towel or continue in utter obscurity.

Strange how I showed some interest in their antics when I looked them up, but nowadays I realize they were (and in some cases, still are) glorified bullies.

This coming from a forum originally dedicated to one autistic unfortunate fanboy.

Let's see...

  1. Pretty much all the late-night talk shows pre-2016 when hosts like Colbert and Fallon dropped their masks and became anti-Trump shills of the Democrat party.
  2. Game Grumps, I am mildly ashamed to admit I gave it a fair shot for a long time during the Dan and Arin era but eventually tuned out around 2016/2017 when Arin became such a caricature of stupidity.
  3. ProJared after the whole divorce/cheating fiasco, he was just not the same after that all went down and he nowadays seems like a pretty hollow shell of his former self.
  4. Various voice actors and actresses I once respected and followed on social media until the 2016 election period when I watched them turn into vitriolic politispergs. Now I hear their voices in popular games/anime and can't even listen to them without thinking how wretched they are IRL.
  5. Jim Sterling, I grew bored of him not long before I found out he trooned out and now I watch from afar at how much of a twisted caricature he's become.
  6. The Super Best Friends post-breakup. Tried giving them all a shot when they went solo on Twitch/YT but they each grew boring, incompetent or insufferable in their own ways.
  7. Half of the streamers in the Vinesauce community, such as Rev (boring and became more of a politisperg,) DesertP (turned really cowardly and sanctimonious after COVID,) Jabroni Mike (braindead like his viewers and can't even play the simplest games without interruptions,) and GeePM (before he tried to backstab Vinny for clout by promoting that cancel culture attempt.) I only ever really stick to Vinny, Limes, and Joel nowadays but can barely find time to watch them like I used to due to real-life commitments.
  8. Various smaller-time podcasters who discussed politics with a level of nuance I could deal with. Most either showed their grifty sides or just became broken/despairing after the shitshow of 2020 and the COVID years.

Hey, it's me, Bunny, and today is everybody's favorite day of the week: the day of the week when we ask ourselves, "Does this thing really work?!"

And then she hopped on the self-pity party train and whined for days because a fat fag with bad skin wanted to shill his partnership with a muh mentals company.

The Fandom Menace guys in general. It was a good way to laugh at the retardation that was the modern pop culture landscape, but it became obvious that they they, as individuals, were completely interchangeable and I could get the same take from every single one of them. Them selling cope/hope that things would change also got tiring quickly, I've seen at least a hundred takes on how "Kathleen Kenedy is secretly fired", "Star Wars Retcon on the horizon", "XYZ is finished!" and none of it happened, ever. They also went in hard catering to the YouTube algorithm and started churning out factory produced content on the regular. It became gay all around is what I am trying to say.

SuperMega I used to watch occasionally and enjoyed their stuff, but then they started acting like almost ever single internet celebrity in California and I had to bow out.
