I can't believe CNN would still cover this.. Like it's such lowbrow news that nobody not involved cares about and has over a year of causing damage to various news brands. Like I kind of thought that brianna wu was the only one still talking about gamergate. And the media still wants to talk about "male privilege." Does anyone really believe these idiots would be defending her if she was a guy?
With all of the Rapp defenders coming to to defend her, and trying to defame Nintendo, have they started associating with Sony and Microsoft yet? As in they either switched their game console "loyalty" from Nintendo to either Sony or Microsoft, or the Sony and Microsoft fanboys came out using this incident to defame Nintendo.
And how many of them have offered her anything aside from a "signal boost", asspat, or e-hug? They couldn't even boycott successfully for a full fucking 48 hours. She's just going to get hired by some other big company soon anyway if Nintendo doesn't re-hire her and apologies. Look at all the support she's getting from all over the industry. You idiots only created another martyr.
Celebrate while you can.

She's an enormous liability to any company, large or small, that decides to hire her. Thus, they won't. She's fucking radioactive right now, just because of the amount of uncomfortable scrutiny that Nintendo has had to deal with as fallout. It has nothing to do with the why of her termination, the mere fact that they hired her in the first place put them in this situation. Would you hire her given that kind of track record?Letting her job go without a single word would be the smartest thing she could have done. But instead, she decided to throw a huge tantrum on twitter about how goblingoblers made her lose her job, managing to bring all the usual pedo apologists to her side, which certainly didn't make her look better. When a big company cans an employee without saying anything, it's the best thing they can ask for, cause they can just go find another job without having had their reputation damaged.
What happened to Rapp was that she basically forced everyone to keep digging the story for more details, and now the entire internet knows about her CP apologia. Good luck trying to find an employer in the tech industry now, cause not only potential employers know about your past, they also know that if they fire you, you'll summon a huge tumblrina mob to go after them.
I can. In an increasingly politically polarized America, CNN is just desperately clinging to whatever they think will keep them relevant, no matter how stupid it is.I can't believe CNN would still cover this.
It's also a good idea not to talk openly and publicly about your obsession with an almost-murderer on a forum dedicated to laughing at eccentrics on the internet and doxing them.Don't talk openly and publicly about how you want to relax child protection laws when you work at a company that creates children games.

You certainly missed something.Am I missing something here?

Nah they just kept digging cause some vidya got censored
People had already known of her stances 1 month prior to her firing, as you can see in the earlier pages in this thread, but I'm talking about the media revealing it to everyone in their moral crusade to prove that she got targetted by goombagrape.
Because she was?
I doubt, was she? Guaranteed that Nintendo only looked further into her personal life to finally get what they needed to fire her after she got "exposed" by some random gater, but people seemed to want so hard to convince the general population that she was just a poor victim of MONTHS of terrorism for DARING to be a woman!
Correct check out the gamergate 3 thread here there was already months of atomic sperging and it's still going on in thread 4
Against her in general? Before march, I hadn't even heard about her in any gamergate-related drama, she isn't any of the main crusade against gamergate in the same way that Wu or Quinn were, so I doubt any sperging made her fear for her life, it's the usual exaggeration of everything related to gaming.
Gamergate started chimping out and blaming her for localisation when it wasn't even her job. This actually lasted a few months as far as I have read, then someone pointed out how she had her thesis on her Linkedin, and the tweets were found after that. The resultant shitstorm obviously attracted a lot of attention from Nintendo who apparently hadn't been looking at what their PR person was putting on their twitter account. Or didn't care.
