This isn't about the debate wether drugs should be legal or illegal. Personally I think all drugs should be illegal without a prescription. But I'm curious as to how people justify arguing for decriminalisation of cannabis, but not anabolic steroids.
From what I've read most western nations have stricter laws regarding posession of steroids than cannabis. Which is the opposite to the situation in eastern europe or east asia. In Canada weed is legal and steroids is illegal to import or use without prescription with a maximum penalty of 3 years in prison. In Japan steroids are legal to import and use, but weed use or import risks 5 years in jail.
Is it rational to view one as more harmful than the other? Are performance enhancing drugs worse than purely recreational ones? How did we end up in the present circumstance?
