EFF makes a lot of pronouncements on Internet freedom issues. Whether or not anybody cares is another story. Their court battles and amicus curiae briefs are probably more useful.

The feelings and more importantly reputation of not just people like Long Gone Dong Jones but the whole movement that spawned these freaks is more important than profit or ethics.
