Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

The grift part really stood out to me, she said these new uncut videos would ONLY be made for the purpose of "raising awareness" which makes no sense if they're behind a $5 paywall. She wants to do dark/edgy content but doesn't want people to think she wants to profit on it even though that's exactly the deal.

I would respect Youtubers more if they'd upload their uncut stuff, get it immediately demonetized, then have a RLM-style Patreon where you just give them 5 bucks because you like their work. Internet Investigator's new paywall doesn't even have her old uncut videos because she didn't bother backing a few of them up.
And the bullshit part is that she doesn't want to be associated with the people on "Odysse" because of extremist views. Look honey, if you're going to start making darker edger, you already should know what kind of people make that kind of content to begin with.

Edgelords like "Plaguemoth" that crack jokes and wisecracks at videos of literal people/animals dying in horrific ways. It's kind of like going into a seedy biker bar and not liking anybody in there but still saying that your tough enough to fit right in.

I would have thought a guy who hangs out in woods and mountains at night would be a little bit more hardened. Is it really *just* the religious shit?

There's a bit where he's like "I don't like to call this thing the False Gabriel because it feels too blasphemous".

I think it really is the Christian stuff that gets him really hard.

Edit: I just realized something about my wording: by "gets him really hard" I mean strongly affects him emotionally, not that it gives him the big penis.
Yea while I love Wendi's stuff I never understood his fear of Mandela Catalogue, I always found it to be real fucking stupid aside from a few decent moments (and some funny memes). I'm religious as well but I don't really get the same reaction from it all, I think a lot of MD is pretty bad, like yea some stuff is blasphemous but like, it's just a YouTube video series? I don't really get scared by it lol. But like others said, it's kinda endearing seeing him getting spooked by simple weird shit, he seems like a real good dude so I'm fine with it (even if it's slightly gay *to get spooked by MD not him).

I know people who are really religious that get wigged out easily by heretical, satanic, or pegan stuff. So I can understand that side of him. Also, Wendi strikes me as the kind of guy with a VERY active imagination which I think is another reason why he is scared easily. ARGs and Analog Horror leave a lot of blanks to be filled, so whatever is implied is instantly made 20x worse in his head. But his genuineness and weird quirks is part of the charm.

I just think he's too nice to hate. It's a bit silly but it's better than how some people overreact being scared

creepy vid about caves afair
Are you talking about this one?
Look, I don't hate the guy, but actively ignoring any arguments and evidence to create a mystery out of fucking nothing is a bad move. Especially, when it's something as beaten to death as The M-cave. He presents it like people pressured the guy to go back, when in reality he said himself that he wanted to do it. He also says "he was likeable and good natured guy", when in reality he suffered from mental problems and had a suicide attempt under his belt. It also seems that he told people that he planned to kill himself in some remote area, so no one would ever find his body, because he wanted to create a mystery and be remembered after his death. I think, child abuse advocate, known as Scare Theater, made a video about it.

yea, it was this vid

I know it's weird to bring this up again after months of nothing much happening, but why couldn't the guy behind Iron Lung just make another game that takes place either before or during the events of the prisoner going down under? I ask this because I was recently reminded of Expotable Money and Presentable Liberty:
Two games where one of them causes a tragedy and a virus outbreak that kills everyone. And another where you are held captive and warned about the world around you crumbling down as you are stuck a prisoner receiving letters from people.
I remember finding the premise between these games very interesting since it all had to do with perspective (not to mention some similarities between Presentable Liberty and Iron Lung), so I thought why couldn't Iron Lung get a similar treatment instead of a "lore" update? It really seems like the pieces where in place and the dude just opted for a "ez route" instead.

I want to shill for the Crime Weekly podcast because they deserve it this time. They discussed the Adnan Syed case autistically and went through all the evidence for over 21 hours (final episode on Youtube coming Sunday), and they were objective the whole time.

Bonus points for Stephanie rapidy losing respect for other true crime giants who 'discussed' this case from the 'muh poor Muslim boi dindu nuffin' angle and shat on Hae Min Lee's family.

From the looks of his other games, the guy really like making one-shots. He struck gold with Iron Lung, but I am not sure how you can follow up with a direct sequel without ruining the world he created. Maybe he will touch on it loosely in another game.

Wow, that's actually really scummy. Reminds me of that one time when Rob Dyke presented some Reddit theory shit as fact in one of his videos. Specifically, the case of Hisashi Ouchi. Rob presented it as the super eeevuuul doctors doing human experimentation on him in the name of science.

While it is true that he was kept alive for months, it was actually because of the guy's family who wanted to try everything and anything to keep him alive in hopes of him eventually recovering. And so the doctors worked tirelessly to fulfill that request because, well it's their job.

Excuse me, what? What in the fuck?

If I had a penny for every time people ask me about what's bad about Scare Theater... Well, I wouldn't be rich, but I would have plenty of pennies. Just watch his video on Desmond is Amazing.

If you don't know who this is, check his thread. Trust me, it will make your blood boil.

Sigh, fucking psychos forcing their fetishes onto kids. Fucking hell...

Anyway new Scary Interesting

Now, I have mentioned before that I'm a picky SOB and if I have to nitpick for a moment here; why do creepy content/true crime/disturbing stories channels put "viewer discretion" at the beginning of the video? I feel as if for these channels, it's equivalent to the trigger warning bullshit that people put for the most minor of shit.

Yeah, the title, previous uploads, and subject matter make it pretty obvious that it's not going to be a happy hippie bedtime romcom novel. I feel as if warnings are redundant.

Because people legitimately get scared and mad when you don't do the disclaimer. The title could be literally "cartel beheading GRAPHIC" and dorks will go "uh, viewer discretion advised please".
