The Old Adventures of New Christine.
I think Chris could do wonders on Paxil and/or AdderalChris would use a fast food's fridge to store his "seed" and then would spend the whole shift eating the place's food, browsing the net on his phone, taking endless bathroom breaks or just sitting there doing nothing because "stress" or whataver new excuse he feels like using to pin the blame on his coworkers.
I used to think his use of "wait, what?" during my calls was him being pompously arrogant. I later figured out that my different ideas were so alien to him he just couldn't process them quickly.you can present Chris with a slightly complicated argument, and then he'll spend 45 seconds churning through it. He's dumb as shit.
IIRC, he was on Paxil for a long time. I'm not certain if he still is.I think Chris could do wonders on Paxil and/or Adderal
I think getting a job meant for a 14 year old would be way better emotionally for him, than giving him a check every month to go spend on toys, meanwhile getting banned from a store every 6 months by causing a scene, because he doesn't think the rules of society apply to him.
I wouldn't put chris in any job where he has to interact with customers or prepare food (cuz let's be honest that's outside his skill set). But to say he's completely incapable of any job is a bit of a stretch for me. I think he's mentally capable of doing something like overnight restocking in a grocery store or sweeping up popcorn in a movie theater. He'd probably suck for the first 2 months and try to cut corners, but once it became routine for him he'd be able to handle it. Is he emotionally mature enough for this? Maybe not right now, but that's gotta be a result of being completely enabled his entire adult life. I think getting a job meant for a 14 year old would be way better emotionally for him, than giving him a check every month to go spend on toys, meanwhile getting banned from a store every 6 months by causing a scene, because he doesn't think the rules of society apply to him.
I'm not saying he could get a job he wants, but tough shit, a lot of people don't. I just think had he been doing anything at all the last 10 years he'd be in a much better place. And at the very least I think we're seeing the reality of the consequences of Chris not working. Barb and presumably him (depending on how you see it) could really use the income of chris working a part-time job.
Chris already had a job like this and failed miserably. That's exactly why he'd get fired from a job in 6 hours. He can't even manage to behave human enough not to get thrown out of a store as a customer, even though the vast majority of retards in society manage to do that.
If Chris needed to keep a job, he'd change.Chris already had a job like this and failed miserably.
He worked at Wendy's for LESS than a month. He got hired early-mid August 2001 and then got fired before Sept 11, 2001. He was hired at Wendy's, not to serve customers, but to clean the dining area, do garbage detail, and clean dishes. He couldn't even get that right. He was explicitly told NOT to interact with customers and he did it anyway; which lead to crying kids and pissed off parents. He would get covered in garbage and then try and work with the food.
Working at a grocery store would just be worse. Chris would be in full view of the public the whole time he's working...and that's just not good for business.
Chris cannot work, period. Not because he's physically incapable, but because he is mentally incapable of doing anything for others. Every single thing Chris does is done with the mindset of "wonder what this will get me" and "well I did what I wanted to do, so the customer should be happy with whatever they get." He also doesn't understand basic things anyone who can hold a job understands. You may not like doing it, but you have to kiss-ass sometimes. You might dislike your boss, but tough shit, he's your boss. He's probably not being a douche to you because he hates you; but because he's got his own job to do and doesn't have time to babysit others. This happened to Chris, at Wendy's, and instead of being able to process it like an adult, he got upset, said his boss had a grudge against him, and then pulled some Mike Snyder type shit and drew some pictures on garbage about his boss...which his boss than saw. Chris can't work if other people are involved.
Unfortunately, Chris even fails at being self-employed. He's almost completely stopped making/shipping his "art" and amiibos. And he's had that $1000 comic book job to do for ages now.

You say occasional purchase, do you know how well his business is doing? So I believe Chris is capable of learning that Sonichu is bullshit. Except the occasional purchase recharges his spirits, and his tugboat sustains him, so the exceptional individual cycle keeps continuing. I've talked to Chris before, and he thinks so very slowly. It's kind of fun, because you can present Chris with a slightly complicated argument, and then he'll spend 45 seconds churning through it. He's dumb as shit.
Actually, I can elaborate a bit more on this.Chris already had a job like this and failed miserably.

No clue, actually. I've talked to a friend or two who's made a purchase. And we get the occasional video. I would imagine we'd hear more flailing on Chris' part if the amiibo sales had completely stopped, although maybe the PS4 is distracting him.You say occasional purchase, do you know how well his business is doing?

Chris could get hired, I don't doubt that, but he'd be fired soon after. No job wants an employee they have to micromanage as much as they would have to micromanage Chris. No one wants a Chris-type employee.Actually, I can elaborate a bit more on this.
Based on what I've seen, I believe evaluating Chris' potential to behave based on his history of failing to behave, so far as employment goes, to be a mistake.
Not to say that that's not solid reasoning. If you take any random person off the street who can't behave in the past, it's logical to say they're unlikely to behave in the future.
The reason I'm very confident Chris is at least capable of employment is because his cowardice way overrides his desire to be a giant baby. You can trivially intimidate Chris both emotionally and physically. I think this kinda went under most people's radar. In fact, people see Chris as very stubborn, which is really kind of the exact opposite of the situation. I wouldn't say Chris is stubborn. He's constantly folding and running away from uncomfortable situations. What enables him to seem stubborn, is that after he folds, he has a safe place to run away and hide to.
So you guys see Chris saying "I REFUSE TO BLAH BLAH BLAH". You're not seeing the intervening time where Chris was nervous and about to fold, but then Anna/his therapists/Barb/asspatters told Chris he was in the right. And then he breathes a big sigh of relief and resumes his blustery air of confidence.
I think the only time I've seen Chris really stick to his guns was with the tomgirl shit.
I believe if you take Chris' safe spaces away, he's putty in your hands. Maybe not particularly useful putty. You might need to thatch it together with threats/intimidation. But you could get a structure that can flip burgers, at least.
Of course, the situation would need to be super dire for Chris to even consider employment. Maybe if Barb can't borrow against his life insurance anymore?
I can't imagine he'd succeed on the first try. I'm sure he'd fuck up a few times. Like I said, Chris isn't great putty.Chris could get hired, I don't doubt that, but he'd be fired soon after. No job wants an employee they have to micromanage as much as they would have to micromanage Chris. No one wants a Chris-type employee.
Oh no, your logic is very sound. Chris is naturally a terrible employee. As for the past predicting the future bit; I could understand if it was a one type incidence where someone fucked up. You shouldn't judge someone's future actions on their one time fuck up. But with Chris, it's 30 years of the same fuck ups. It would be abnormal for Chris to succeed at a job; although no impossible. To expect him to fail because of his 100 past failures, of the same nature, isn't too much of a stretch, in my opinion at least.
Not only is Chris's personality and characteristics a big flaw for an employer, but his physical flaws are too. Chris is not a clean individual. He is constantly wearing the same dirty stained shirts (we've seen this via videos of himself on youtube); he shits himself almost to the point of regularity, and that's just the stuff you could see/smell being close to him. That's not the plethora of other things that make Chris a terrible employee.
Threaten murder? Well that's new to me. I remember the threats of suicide but murder? I shouldn't be surprised but by god I am. Is this a new tactic?I can't imagine he'd succeed on the first try. I'm sure he'd fuck up a few times. Like I said, Chris isn't great putty.

But Barb and poverty are scarier to Chris than his ego. I'm sure Barb would let him slide if he got fired, say, once. He'd come home and cry about how he said something wrong, and she might ass pat him once. But if there's financial need, I don't think she'd let that fly consistently.
Like, you have to keep in mind, the trolls got Chris to drive several states over to see a woman who didn't exist. Joshua Martinez is a huge dumbass, and even he got Chris to drive around all night trying to find some girl. And we did all that stuff over the internet.
Barb, on the other hand, will threaten everything, including suicide and murder, in order to get what she wants. Chris will learn, through fear, not to say the wrong thing to his boss, if Barb needs it to happen. Barb already uses Chris as a servant. She flipped shit when he wouldn't sleep in her room, for example. Telling Chris he needs to keep his mouth shut at work, or she'll kill herself isn't a huge leap for her.
Now, the one thing I don't think Barb could do: I don't think Barb can keep Chris from stress sighing. She might be able to scare Chris into not mouthing off to his boss. But the stress sighs are probably way too ingrained at this point. If that alone would get him fired, then yeah, I guess it's unlikely Barb could beat productivity into Chris.
I don't know if Barb has ever threatened to murder Chris or anything; but she sure as hell as threatened to harm others; especially trolls and anyone who causes her any kind of grief.Threaten murder? Well that's new to me. I remember the threats of suicide but murder? I shouldn't be surprised but by god I am. Is this a new tactic?

She probably doesn't use it that often (or she might not've used it ever since, but...) we have this fun quote from the Jackie Emails:I don't know if Barb has ever threatened to murder Chris or anything; but she sure as hell as threatened to harm others; especially trolls and anyone who causes her any kind of grief.
Barb has been off her rocker for awhile.Hand to God, I would never kill Anyone, including my own mother and father. Violence and Murder is Rarely the answer; murder is Morally Wrong; I care about my mother and father Very Much. And even worse, she threatens to kill me in her episode of emotional rage.
I don't know if Barb has ever threatened to murder Chris or anything; but she sure as hell as threatened to harm others; especially trolls and anyone who causes her any kind of grief.

The sales page has that info. It looks like the comics make up most of his sales. He sells them for $10, but he has to pay both his publisher and Etsy, so I don't know what profit he's making from those.I checked his Etsy on Feburary 1st when he announced his DVD for sale and it had 285 items sold. I checked back March 1st and he had 305 items sold.
That doesn't mean much by itself because I never bothered to follow which items are sold, his regular items range from $10 to $30, and then there's that YouTube greeting bullshit which is like $50 I think? There's also the donation crap which I think the buyer can just type in any amount.
But if he's only sold the $30 item he'd have sold 20 of them making it $600.
More interestingly it's now April and he's only had 320 items sold.
IIRC, he was on Paxil for a long time. I'm not certain if he still is.
@Marvin Do we know what dosage of Paxil he was taking? I suspect he was probably taking the minimum dosage. The Paxil would help him with the stress sighing. The Adderal would help him focus.I can't imagine he'd succeed on the first try. I'm sure he'd fuck up a few times. Like I said, Chris isn't great putty.
