InactiveChelsea Lawrence / TanzChelsea - Munchie kicked out of two hospitals, home care and multiple treatment teams; Flagged and blacklisted by EPIC; Munched Herself to Death
"Doctors don’t like to deal with us. We take up too many resources, and I know this is my anger speaking, but why take care from people or put a limitation on somebody when some body’s break the laws of physics."
I love Chelsea because she's up there with Victoria the "surviving conjoined twin" in terms of making the most retarded claims.
Considering music of certain frequencies can magically heal her stiff attacks, she should get in touch with Robyn and get hooked up with a Healy. It's the perfect fake cure for her fake illness.

Victoria and Chelsea are friends and you can find her comments on most of Chelsea's TikTok videos. Victoria's username is chronicallyhopeful14. But yeah, they're both the same sort of crazy.
Currently doctors thinks it’s a trend. This one’s just my theory, but I feel like they’re just waiting people out. Doctors don’t like to deal with us. We take up too many resources,
I got this from her as well. She's not as retarded a liar as El Goblina aka Victoria but just doesn't seem that smart or able to comprehend medical things. LIke how she embraced having functional neurological disorder until she realized it meant it was psychogenic and then she got big mad.
Here's today's performance art from Chelsea. I was wondering what she put on her lower face towards the end of the video. It's an ice pack (you can see the writing when she pulls away from her face). That's likely what she's done to get her face to look so red, which she claims is her mast cell. All cows tell on themselves. They can't help it.
I don't know about you, but I love a good back story. Chelsea, thankfully, does not disappoint in this arena. Many munchies learn their behavior from family dynamics, which create ripples across other members of the family. Here I'll be doing a deep dive into Chelsea's sister, Lacey, whose life is far too public and interesting to keep to myself.
If I had to guess, their mother's career as a PCA created a dysfunctional dynamic between the sisters. Chelsea has admitted that, growing up, her and Lacey were pitted against each other. I believe Chelsea became the golden child (model, actress, singer) and Lacey became the problem child (mental illness, drug addiction). Lacey eventually realized that this path wasn't earning mommy's love, so she became a frequent flyer at her local hospital and Chelsea's #1 cheer leader.
TL;DR: Welcome to Lacey Jae Lawrence, Chelsea's older sister that caught the dysfunction bug. She is a 36 year old mother of two half siblings born to two fathers. Lacey is an enabling munchie lite who overshares on social media. Her most interesting diagnosis is bipolar disorder, which she obtained during an inpatient stay in 2000. Lacey was raped at 19, which irrevocably damaged her relationship with her mother. After Lacey got knocked up by a meth head domestic abuser, Lacey's mother successfully sued for custody of Lacey's first born child. Over the years Lacey has slowly healed her relationship with her family, although I'm not sure why she'd want to, and now alternates hospital stays with her BFF and sister Chelsea.
Before Chelsea's family gets their panties in a bunch that I'm posting this, Lacey is a hard core enabler. If Chelsea wants attention and you want to help her get it... welcome to the consequences of your actions.
Lacey also flirts with oversharing about medical issues. I don't find this interesting enough to dissect, just their existence is curious, so I'll only share examples. Some of the following images are from Chelsea's Caring Bridge.
At age 14, during 1999-2000, Lacey was inpatient under the care of Dr. Kathleen M Logan. Presumably this is when Lacey was diagnosed as bipolar, or at least began the process, at Mayo Clinic's Rochester location. Lacey claims she was subjected to "over 8 years of medical abuse". Dr. Logan does have terrible reviews online, so it's unclear to me the accuracy of Lacey's recollection.
At 19, Lacey was raped by presumably a family friend or community member- her mother, Margaret, references him as a nice guy. She claims in later years she learned this man abused other children, including a family friend. My best guess is this family friend is April, who is Lacey and Chelsea's "adopted" sister. Lacey says that April's (?) parents believed April, but Lacey's mother did believe Lacey. I think a combination of Margaret's reaction to Lacey's rape and her forcibly committing Lacey in 1999 destroyed their relationship.
Lacey alluding to her family's response to pedophilia accusations
As absurdly verbose as Chelsea is, she does dance around a few topics, including some mysterious experience/event earlier in life. I don't think the same person abused Lacey and Chelsea, but I have a(n unfounded) conspiracy theory that Chelsea was also a victim of CSA. I think that's what she's referencing when she says "we both have experienced things that we can relate to." A more reasonable interpretation would be that Chelsea and Lacey are both in the hospital a lot, and they bond over medical issues.
Caring bridge entry from Chelsea 4/20/2022
Caring bridge 3/20/2022
OK, here is where it gets juicy. Legal documents will be provided in spoiler tabs.
Short Summary: Lacey's mother successfully sues Lacey for custody of JJ, Chelsea's nephew, because Lacey is a train wreck. Lacey eventually gets JJ back but continues to deal with a POS baby daddy for years, until he's eventually incarcerated for drug use in Iowa.
00s: Lacey begins dating Gary Michael Sawyer
2009: Lacey gets pregnant with Gary Sawyer's meth sperm
3/3/2010: Lacey gives birth to Jacob Jay Sawyer (the nephew Chelsea references as JJ) out of wedlock. Margaret, Lacey's mother, becomes the primary care giver for JJ while Lacey struggles with her tumultuous relationship, navigating domestic violence, her bipolar disorder and addiction issues- both her own and Gary's.
7/2010: Margaret decides enough is enough and sues for custody of JJ when JJ is only five months old. Margaret claims that Lacey has poor judgment, mental illness and drug abuse issues. Lacey admits that her mother did care for JJ while Lacey suffered from "medical problems" but she's now fully capable of caring for JJ. Lacey insists she is now compliant with her bipolar medication and is appropriately taking pain medication for her back issues.
Reading between the lines, Lacey was abusing her opiate prescription for her back pain (bulging discs, herniated disc, degenerative disc disease) and did not have her bipolar controlled. Gary is no peach: he was abusive enough to need supervised visits with JJ, Lacey and JJ were awarded protection orders, Gary has been arrested multiple times for reckless driving and substance possession, etc. In addition to Lacey's psych breakdown, Gary was a supplemental agent of chaos.
The judge grants Margaret full physical and legal temporary custody of JJ while Lacey and Gary are required to take glorified parenting classes. Lacey is granted supervised visits.
3/16/2011: Gary is required to pay $113/month in child support, which is eventually increased to $129/month. He's not required to help with JJ's medical care. In 2019 this is taken to zero because Gary is incarcerated with no release date before 2025 due to pleading guilty to two felonies, class C and D, related to drug charges in Iowa. In 2018 he pled guilty to possession of meth, but it was negotiated down to a simple misdemeanor.
3/31/2011: Lacey moves in with two randos in Wisconsin to escape domestic violence and throws shade at her mother for not supporting her.
4/27/2011, 9 months after losing custody, Lacey is granted full legal and physical custody of JJ on the condition she continues to be treated for her bipolar disorder. Margaret is allowed to see the child but not the biological father, Gary. Gary contests this in May to try to get some form of custody.
6/1/2011: Lacey and JJ are granted an order of protetion against Gary for two years. Gary is ordered to attend a domestic abuse program and is recommended to go into treatment for his substance use.
9/11/2011: Gary is awarded supervised visitation but only shows up half the time and then completely stops appearing.
3/8/2013: Gary violates his parole. Gary is denied custody because he has voluntarily ceased contact with JJ over a year prior.
6/12/2017: Gary tries AGAIN to get established parenting time.
8/16/2017: In a follow up phone call, Gary claims that he is moving back to Minnesota from Iowa (I believe he moved to Iowa to avoid child support payments, as Lacey could not find his address to collect). A call is scheduled for September to discuss, but no one shows up (including Lacey). It's rescheduled.
1/12/2018: Gary misses multiple reschedules and is not heard from again until he contests child support in 2019 due to his incarceration
1/28/2018: Gary is arrested in Iowa for using meth
Lacey, at least in part, believes this part of her life fueled her PTSD. I have no idea how at two months post partum she had "a peace [she] had never known", because Margaret and Lacey agreed under oath that Lacey was too ill to care for her child (physically and mentally).
Even though Lacey and Margaret clearly had a very difficult period in life, somehow they've managed to patch things over. I truly have no idea how they managed this. If my mother committed me inpatient, abandoned me when I was raped and took my child from me, I would not say the relationship we found together is one of my greatest blessings. Lacey does not shy away from referencing how she used to have no relationship with her family.
JJ has mentioned that he's interested in meeting his biological father, Gary Sawyer the meth head. We don't always get what we want- Gary will be in jail until at least 2025 and likely beyond that. However, JJ has a relationship with his half sibling, Renee. Renee and JJ share the same biological father (Gary) but have different mothers.
This is part of Chelsea's live from 11/30/2022. She is complaining about how Kiwi Farms creating an entire thread on her, torturing herself and her family. She confesses that her mother and sister are "scared". Chelsea also says she only checks it to make sure that her family doesn't make an appearance on the thread.
Transcript: Currently, there's a very disgusting page that's made a horrible thing about me. No, it's not the page that starts with an R. It's a completely other page. And they believe that I just messed myself in the bed because I choose not to use a bed pan? But I found a page that- if you've been a spoonie or a chronically ill or disabled person long enough, you know about certain web pages. There is a typical web page that everybody goes to and there is another web page that is even darker. That darker web page is tearing me apart right now. That's why I turned on the live is because I need to, like, I didn't want to make a vent post. And, um, I hate the people who don't live my experience. I check those pages to make sure that my mom, my sister or my nephew's faces don't show up there and today my mom's face showed up. It was really upsetting. She was upset with it, my mom, that her face was on that page. And then they went back to, like, 2010 where my sister was having an argument about me and my mom. I grew up and it was difficult. I grew up, and I'm going to be honest, it was not easy with my sister. Me and my sister were put against each other at a point in our lives. Growing up, I had a completely privileged life. I would say white glove society. Honestly, this is what I'm telling you. When I was 13, I lost my dad. But during that white glove society, there are certain things that are not spoken about or talked about. One of those things is mental illness. And I'm not getting into details, but my sister struggled so hard, and we have both learned what the triggers are for her and for me and where our boundaries lie. I barely spoke to her for a very long time. But the thing is is that I got her back because I had this pulling sensation on my heart that time was running out and I needed to spend time with her and God put her back into my life and I'm grateful for that. I don't need some people trolling back in there and trying to break us apart because guess what? Our bond is so strong. There is nothing that will break us apart. Nothing. Nothing will break us apart. All you're doing is harming me and my family and scaring them. You're scaring a mother with two young children. You're scaring my mom, who is a 70 year old woman. It's not like a blurb. They made a whole thread for me. And accusations that I refused to use a bedpan and I'm just making my mother clean it off the bed, that I was a previous [motions like alcohol drinking].
I'll sign this off by saying that this is my gift to Chelsea. You need to learn not to poke a sleeping bear. When you plead for attention, you get it.

I’m not American so forgive my ignorance but how is this family paying for all this time interacting with the healthcare system?
Chelsea and her sister have had Mayo Clinic care. I assume there is a high price tag on that level of care. Or is the cost only high for people who are not geographically clinic adjacent? If they have a runway for Saudi Royalty it sounds posh and top tier.
I’m a newbie to the Munchies. A visitor from Gorl world. Is Chelsea known to be money bags and I missed that in the thread?
I live in a universal healthcare country so I have no idea how for fee healthcare works in terms of cost.
I have seen a stat from Harvard’s med school that said most Americans would be bankrupted by a catastrophic illness.
I know Chelsea and her ilk aren’t catastrophically ill but they attend the doctor’s office as much as someone who is.
The goal seems to be attention and not having to work. Why don’t they pick a less costly grift if they don’t want to adult?
Is she getting gov benefits? That would be very unfair to actual sick and/or disabled Americans who struggle to afford care.

There's universal healthcare in my country too, and this shit would still drive someone bankrupt due to all the out of pocket costs, gap fees, and buying top of the range motility gear instead of sitting on a waiting list for the next available basic model to be allocated to them. She'd absolutely end up being transferred into mental health services instead of a hospital ward. I know several people who endured mystery illnesses for years, and they all ended up at the psych's office when their (very visible and trackable) physical symptoms didn't add up to anything immediately obvious, and their respective doctors all decided that they were psychosomatic or malingering. How is Chelsea pulling this shit off and still have a roof over her head in fucking America?

Probably because she has been diagnosed with a psychosomatic illness and thus they can bill Medicare for treatment for it. I think what is happening is that when she said that diagnosis was removed it really got changed to malingering and that's why she suddenly lost all her services since they won't pay for that.
According to the timeline she was approved for SSI on 2/27/20, which is basically disability benefits for poor people. It being SSI and not SSDI is interesting, if she had a work history it would be SSDI. If she’s under 28 that would only be a year and a half of work. Given her older sister is 36, it would be a maximum of around 3.5 years, but probably less. SSI generally comes with medicare which is almost universal healthcare. So the taxpayers are paying for it all.
And as a disabled/chronically ill american, I want to push her off a fucking cliff. Immediately after finding out how she managed to get SSI so young without possibly meeting any “blue book” criteria. The paperwork is a nightmare and I’m not dumb as a box of rocks.
Edit: she probably qualified because a diagnosis of stiff person syndrome is an automatic approval. Somehow.

Chelsea has Medicare and allegedly two other insurance plans, although she does complain that they reject her claims occasionally.
Chelsea comes from a wealthy family. She calls it "white glove society"; her father founded a successful trucking company that has been incredibly fruitful. His early death and thriving business probably supplies a lot of $$ to Chelsea's family.

I guess I'm going to weigh in with something that isn't medical: her acting. As a former working actor I always get a kick out of cows who fancy themselves professional actors in some capacity. Chelsea is living proof that a theatre degree means shit all, and being a theatre kid doesn't mean you have any measure of talent.
I just want to point out that 'walk-on actress' (which someone called her) is too grandiose a term. She was an extra. Anyone can be an extra, you just have to keep an eye out for local casting calls and show up. They don't vet you for any real talent. Every "professional" extra's dream is to be singled out of the crowd and given a featured extra roll, or the creme de la creme of extra roles: featured extra with lines. This is based far more on having the look they want than any talent, although if you're really bombing they'll replace you.
Her acting is just so atrocious. I'm dumbfounded that anyone with a medical background believes the seizures or stiff attacks or her hilarious vocal affectations. Everything is so theatrical with her, so dialed up to eleven that I honestly can't watch with a straight face. Despite this, she is completely unable to whip herself into enough of a frenzy to cry a couple of tears. Not that everyone in pain cries, of course, even with 10/10 pain, but she never looks sufficiently miserable on film. Anyone who has been in severe pain or medical distress (or has seen someone in that state) can see it's just an unfortunate performance.
Often I think munchies (not the ED ones generally, but this type) have genuine health anxiety to some degree and really believe that they're sick. Chelsea seems like an anomaly to me because with all her hysteria she seems to genuinely buy in to her story but at the same time her vital signs never seem to actually bear that out. I'd think that if you're that worked up your obs would show that in terms of heart rate and blood pressure, but she never mentions those things being out of whack. She's not a clear faker in the sense that she's inducing symptoms or illnesses deliberately. I don't know if that's because she does have a strong measure of health anxiety or because, like her friend Victoria, she just sucks at munching. It's honestly kind of fascinating.
Lacey has given off semi MBP vibes in her Facebook posts but I've left it alone. I don't think she's hurting her children, I just think she blossoms under medical attention (doesn't matter if it's hers, her sister's or her child's).
I was hospitalized 3 times within the first 3 months postpartum, I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease, my hips didn't want to go back together, I had a rectocele, I was in an abusive relationship with my son's father, and lacked support as a mother.
I wonder if any of these hospitalizations were for her mental health. The court papers implied that she was taking her pain medications inappropriately.
I was told a lot of negative things, and ended up fighting for my child in a court battle starting at 3 months. I loved being a parent, and I loved my son. I fought a year in court, won that nasty court battle, and then took many years to heal from those war wounds. I still deal with PTSD because of many of those experiences.
Nothing new here, other than the obvious perspective that the court battle was "nasty".
I've never known what exhaustion was until these last 7 months of little to no sleep. I have postpartum depression that nearly crushed me. I fight with PPD daily like a titan. I have gained an immense amount of weight, nearly every pound I was fully pregnant, back after losing most of it 8 weeks postpartum.
Lacey complains that her second child has been much more difficult than her first. She focuses a lot on her body. I wonder if it would be easier if she had a girl? If you think that's an unfair statement, Lacey, I encourage you to stop oversharing online.
