Simply put, it's "profitable", especially for those who have nothing worthwhile in their lives and looking for control. And I don't just mean financial profit, I also mean attention and getting the whole "yasss queen, slay!" bullcrap and having people listen to your retarded ass shit, even if only for a moment. That being said, though, this kinda shit works, as Don King would say, only in America.
Honestly, you try this kinda dumbass shit outside of the US, and they'll laugh and insult your retarded ass off the internet. Of course, this doesn't mean she wouldn't do lolcow bullshit elsewhere; I just figure it'd be something else. Hell, she might just stay as a "white feminist" and simply stick to the "all menz oppress the womenz!" bullshit they spew.
Thing is though, you don't see Indians pulling this shit when they're being actually successful. You only hear this shit from Indians who suck, are failing and see it as a plausible excuse to avoid accepting their failures and responsibilities. Which kinda makes me think it means the Indians going for woke are basically going the Jew route: "when you succeed, it's all you; when you fail, it's thanks to everyone else surrounding you." Then again, that line is pretty much a description of grifting woke faggots in general, rather than just Jewish or Indian ones.

I concur. There's a common trend amongst there that whenever it happens that they suck at everything they do, typically because they put minimum effort at it, there's lots of outrage, victim playing and finger pointing to compensate for it. This is Grifting 101 and seems to be very very common on indians.
However, I don't think this is something that is uniquely indian or related to indian culture per se as I have observed this from a lot of other groups and countries, not all of them non-white.
I think it is a marker of a low-trust society, of which India is a prime example.

Just seems that Indians, well Indians in the US, are relatively successful with it because they're a minority, thus they get that 'oppressed privilege'. I imagine some Serbian chick in the US wouldn't really be able to play this game; at least not successfully, simply because she fits the majority populace. You don't really see much Indian lolcows based in India who're running this kinda shit either, at least not to a US audience as far as I'm aware.

One of the reasons why India is such a prime example of a low trust country is that is an overpopulated country where an elite holds most resources and wealth with an iron fist and cheerfully wave it on the less privileged faces.
Therefore, for the rest is a constant race (No pun intended) to see how can they outgrift each other. If they ever manage to get into wealth, they'll promptly kick down the stairs and then mock their former poor peers. That's what they'll do.
Any semblance of high trust society characteristics in the west disappeared the moment protected classes where created from which all accountability was dropped. By all accounts this has been a 4D chess game to sustain the power and influence of the financial elites.
So, it is rather natural that Indians, of all people, gravitate towards woke. Others just adopted woke, they were born in it. In a way.
East Asians, for example, typically also adopt woke, especially chinese, when in the West, but they lack the religious fervor. They go about it with a rather bureaucratic mind.
Liz Fong-Jones and his endless paper trails come to mind. Very Confucian of him.
Compare Liz Fong-Jones to Saira Rao and blockface comes off as rational and pragmatic as opposed to chaotically full of religious zeal.

Somebody must have backed her hard up into a corner regarding Asian-black racial tensions, and perceived Asian privilege.
She's the sort of highly-privileged Asian who would hardly give a thought to that because she's not one of those not-privileged Asians who actually lives, and owns a business, in a largely black area. She's also old enough that she still was able to get preferable treatment in admissions to elite universities, rather than being denied a slot she'd worked hard for in favor of "equity" for black applicants.
I'd really love to see her forced to address the caste system, and how her parents were able to emigrate as medical students, practice medicine in the US, and see her married to a fellow Indian attorney from a privileged background—instead of buying a 7-11 franchise in "the rough part of town.

I'm almost a year too late, but today is my first time reading about this cow. And this here pissed me off.
As someone who has traveled to many countries around the world but was born and raised in a shithole country, I'm appalled any American could say something like this! It's the US perfect? Hell no! And yet I'd have given my right arm to be born there.
Like her parents I'm a doctor and definitely a part of the 0,01% here in my shitstain country. Yet I've been robbed, mugged on the streets and kidnapped. 2 of my personal friends have been murdered for dumb reasons. If you ever get your phone out on the streets or use any kind of jewelry (or somehow exercise a basic liberty this woman takes for granted), people around you would suddenly get wide-eyed and uncomfortable ("Are you trying to get us killed?? Put that away now!").
But during my travels, I've seen how much WORSE it gets in some other countries. "Kidnapped? Mugged? That's it? Pfff you get it easy, none of my 8 kids ever lived past childhood, so they were never able to get enough money to warrant being mugged! Also, what is this "plumbing" thing you keep saying you miss from home?".
I'm sorry, but being born in a country where there's freedom of expression and anyone has the right to vote, and where poor people at least have the opportunity to work hard and build something for their families... That would be a DREAM for billions of people around the world.
I'm not an American, and that's OK. It is what it is, and I can't complain. But if you were lucky enough to be born in the US (or one of the other 15 good countries), PLEASE cherish what you have. Respect it. Be thankful for it.
