I think Kanye has one of those 'predestined outcomes' in his mind. For example, when Elliot Rodger was convinced that he was destined to win the lottery and got all pissy and shooty when he didn't.
I'm convinced Kanye believes that he is destined to be the President. He did a run in 2020, only getting 70k votes. Since then he post hoc rationalised that this was Jesus testing him or something, latching onto anything sensational as a sign, like when he went full BLM during the peaceful protests of Floyd. He's grasping for shit.
Time will eventually tell how the Nick/Milo thing came to be, but I think it's dismissive to say that It was just grifters taking advantage of him for some money and fame. Yes it was probably that, but Kanye was looking for it and if it wasn't them it would have been someone else, and with Milo gone it probably will be. Either way it has been a grand laugh so far and I look forward to future exploits during his 2024 run.

It's also theologically bullshit. The teachings of Christianity are that only God Himself can forgive sins. Jesus calls His followers to forgive wrongs done to us because to hold anger and vengeance in our hearts leads us to sin. The forgiveness is for US and for OUR benefit, not for the benefit of the one who has wronged us. But nowhere in Christian teaching are we given the power to absolve other of their sins in the eyes of the Lord. When people run about saying "only God can judge me", that's not actually a good thing, for them.
