For a huge variety of reasons, yes. Centralizing the entire world under NATO and the Soviets was a huge gain, since the Soviet system was too much of a mess to ever work as Lenin and Stalin showed so just became capitalism pretending to be communism (which inspired modern China). The Axis were the last to make a serious effort toward a world outside of the Anglo-American banking cartel, although Japan and Italy mostly wanted a bigger seat at the world table (including colonial empire), Hitler had a mess of a vision that was pretty unrealistic (Generalplan Ost was really stupid), and all the minor countries like mostly just wanted to be left alone by communism.
Since Europe and Japan were absolute ruins, it gave a small cabal of people (Anglo-American bankers) control over how things would be rebuilt and let them establish true globalist institutions. The UN is the best example, since even if many of the UN's goals have been abject failures, it does play a crucial role in coordinating the global system, including institutions that actually do a lot of the work like the World Bank Group. With all the money they've distributed, they've rebuilt--or outright developed--the world in the image of what the elites want.
Worse, the elites had to give the people what they wanted after decades of social unrest and stepping on the plebs. So they created a hybrid of socialism (strong unions, social programs) and capitalism (letting free enterprise still occur) as advocated by FDR that created an immensely prosperous society from late 40s/late 70s. It was so effective and such a paradise that the people mostly forgot the real problems and focused on the shell game politicians of the mainstream parties played. Leftists got to worship FDR, Kennedy, Clinton, etc., the right worshipped Reagan, but they're mostly the same. The socialism/capitalism system grew unsustainable and morphed into some mess of government bureaucracy that doesn't give a fuck about workers or the poor outside of what it takes to propagate itself combined with unchecked megacorporations stifling out everything else.
But because we forgot the roots of the system, the only proposals to fix it have been "man, let's do what Kennedy and FDR wanted!" or "man, let's do what Reagan would've done!" so all we get are half-baked proposals that amount to "give the bloated bureaucracy another 100 billion and they'll TOTALLY help all the po'pipo" or "cut taxes and it'll totally make the free market work!"
I take it that building further away from rivers is out then?
Space is at a premium in Japan, so why waste valuable land? It's basically the same reason people fucked with Louisiana's rivers.

Was an interesting article until that point. It's hard to take it seriously when it sounds like it's written by a loony Christian expecting any day now Jesus is coming back and will send these people to hell. And maybe it's because the culture exists to make me think that way, but that doesn't the fact there are a lot of people out there who won't pay attention to the message because of it.
Well-poisoning is a powerful tool in their control network. Case in point, Great Replacement was only associated with neo-Nazi types before Tucker Carlson mainstreamed it. Even though Tucker Carlson is considered the biggest Nazi on TV by the media, he still taught millions of boomers the truth and helped lead at some of them to even greater sources. That's why going about how it's all Satanists or the Jews (neither of which is 100% true even if a lot of these people approve of "ironic" child rape/murder for Satan or are Jewish) is counterproductive to telling people the truth about who is controlling the world and how.
