Culture Avatar director James Cameron says testosterone is a 'toxin' men must terminate from their system - Take estrogen, guys

James Cameron, writer and director of such films as the Terminator, Terminator 2, True Lies, Aliens, and Titanic said that earlier in his career he and his work were poisoned by the "toxin" that is testosterone while promoting his environmental activist agitprop Avatar sequel, due out in December.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Cameron said, "A lot of things I did earlier, I wouldn’t do — career-wise and just risks that you take as a wild, testosterone-poisoned young man. I always think of (testosterone) as a toxin that you have to slowly work out of your system."

In the early 80s James Cameron was set to pitch an idea for the sequel to the movie Alien. He walked into a room filled with executives at 20th Century Fox. When they asked the young director, whose film the Terminator was an unexpected success, what his pitch was for an Alien sequel, Cameron reportedly walked up to a chalkboard in the room. He wrote the word "Alien" and then added an "s" at the end. He paused and then drew two lines in the s making it a $ sign. Cameron confirmed the veracity of this story with Cinemablend in 2021.

According to Cracked, a young Cameron broke into the editing room of his directorial debut, Piranha 2 to recut the movie after the film's producer had him removed from the project.

On the other hand, he did say of his alien female heroine in Avatar, "Right from the beginning, I said, she's got to have t*ts," according to Inverse.

His tentpole features often had bombastic practical effects and huge budgets, which he would fight for in "F-bomb-laden shouting matches with executives" according to the Hollywood Reporter

That same masculine energy carried over to sets, causing Ed Harris to punch Cameron in the face on the set of the Abyss according to IMDB.

Cameron also said, "I made Titanic because I wanted to dive into the shipwreck, not because I particularly wanted to make the movie."

Cameron's new movie is a continuation of his Avatar series, the first entry having hit theaters back in 2009. His interest in filmmaking now rests in his passion for environmental sustainability. On Avatar, Cameron has said, "Avatar is the highest-grossing film, and it’s a movie that's asking you to cry for a tree."

Cameron's success has been parallel to his reliance on innovation in technology. His films The Abyss and Terminator 2 spearheaded CGI, pushing the technology forward in significant ways in a shortened time span.

Yet technology and human advancement is portrayed in the Avatar movies as tools of the oppressor, pushing in on the natives who are portrayed in a Rousseauian utopia, in perfect harmony until greedy mankind disrupts their perfection.

On the first Avatar's success, in 2009 Cameron said, "If we didn’t make money, we're a bunch of dumb f*cks," according to EW.

In 2022, Cameron, who has totally given up toxic masculinity said, "The trolls will have it that nobody gives a shit and they can't remember the characters' names or one damn thing that happened in the movie. Then they see the movie again and go, 'Oh, okay, excuse me, let me just shut the fuck up right now.' So I’m not worried about that."

The new avatar is going to be somehow gayer than the first. As stated before I wish the humans would just nerve gas the blue fucks.
I'd make it a tale of how they go extinct by getting suckered into some kind of replacement theory scheme. I mean the humans just want to have a chance at a better life on Avatar planet by doing the jobs the Avatars won't do like mining unobtainium or whatever.

Titanic is super boring and it takes forever to see the damn ship sink. All this boring ass sappy drama between cartoon character level rich man/poor man types. It took almost three hours for the Titanic to sink. If you wanted to dive into the shipwreck then the movie should have started with the iceberg. That would have been interested.

Best Titanic movie still is A Night To Remember. Much better drama. The lost little boy who doesn't understand he's about to die is much more heart wrenching than Rose and Jack and their stupid wooded board. The film was made before we knew the ship broke in half so you can't fault it for that.

Anyway, without testosterone men can't father babies and boys can't reach puberty. People with toxic personalities come in all genitals. Maybe hormones play a role in some cases. But hating on men because "muh toxicity" leads to just more hate of women, then men, then women ect... You're making things worse, not better Jimmy Boy. Go take your soy pills and come down.

Seems like he just became an uptight vegan jerk instead of hyper masculine meat eating jerk. He learned nothing and still thinks he's better than everyone else.

You waited like twelve years between films. It's your fault if no one remembers the names of the characters. You did nothing to keep up the franchise. Were there graphic novels at least? Although that's not the best way to keep people up to date as Joe Public (whose ticket money you need the most) might not read them. Even an animated series would have helped somewhat. Why did you let your big blue space cat saga lay fallow so long? It's not like it's a timeless tale. People are so over the CGI eye candy stuff now because it's everywhere.

However, I do remember quite a few people complaining about the Great White Savior narrative when OG Avatar came out. Well guess what? 2022 is way worse than 2009. It's full metal #woke. So don't be surprised if the clapback is way harsher now. People complaining main Avatar guy whose name I forgot is just wearing blue face and how racist it is.

I wonder how woke the film will be.

Do find and replace on "testosterone" and replace with "estrogen". He's absolutely talking about toxic masculinity.

“A lot of things I did earlier, I wouldn’t do — career-wise and just risks that you take as a wild, estrogen-poisoned young man,” he says, declining to specify further. “I always think of [estrogen] as a toxin that you have to slowly work out of your system.”

Whatever happened to just making quality entertainment?
Can't have young boys idolizing BIG, STRONG, POWERFUL MEN anymore; all existing big and powerful men, must now repent on their big and powerful ways. They must walk the path of peace and fade into the darkness, not as a shining hero but a weak broken man.

The new Hero has to be open to his feelings. They have to worship soft, meek, effiminate men who solve the situation without intimating anyone, without being too aggressive, without hurting anyone or their feelings or if they're like the Hulk, they can still be big and strong, but they have to have really gay habits.

To geek out about films briefly...

This line bugs me. It bugs me because, while, yes, The Abyss had some good CGI for the time, it's actual strength was practical effects, and Cameron being an asshole director. Seriously, read or watch some documentaries about the movie. Almost everything you see except the aliens themselves you were actually seeing. They made practically everything you see, much of it full size. And Cameron was an absolute tyrant slave-driver, pushing the actors into some really dangerous, uncomfortable, unpleasant situations to get the right scenes to turn out right.

Or to put it another way, Ed Harris didn't punch him because of the CGI. Although the version I heard was that he had to be restrained from punching him. Who knows.

"remove essential chemical from your body because ?"

This is like the "cholesterol bad" people from back in the day — in fact, when you remember that cholesterol is required for the production of sex hormones, it's identical.
The 'cholesterol bad' people were right. all animals, barring the occasional individual with certain genetic conditions that prevent it, produce all of the cholesterol they need, mostly in the liver and intestines. There is absolutely zero dietary need for it

That said he sounds like he's starting to crack up. Without testosterone you would end up with serious health problems
