Culture Avatar director James Cameron says testosterone is a 'toxin' men must terminate from their system - Take estrogen, guys

James Cameron, writer and director of such films as the Terminator, Terminator 2, True Lies, Aliens, and Titanic said that earlier in his career he and his work were poisoned by the "toxin" that is testosterone while promoting his environmental activist agitprop Avatar sequel, due out in December.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Cameron said, "A lot of things I did earlier, I wouldn’t do — career-wise and just risks that you take as a wild, testosterone-poisoned young man. I always think of (testosterone) as a toxin that you have to slowly work out of your system."

In the early 80s James Cameron was set to pitch an idea for the sequel to the movie Alien. He walked into a room filled with executives at 20th Century Fox. When they asked the young director, whose film the Terminator was an unexpected success, what his pitch was for an Alien sequel, Cameron reportedly walked up to a chalkboard in the room. He wrote the word "Alien" and then added an "s" at the end. He paused and then drew two lines in the s making it a $ sign. Cameron confirmed the veracity of this story with Cinemablend in 2021.

According to Cracked, a young Cameron broke into the editing room of his directorial debut, Piranha 2 to recut the movie after the film's producer had him removed from the project.

On the other hand, he did say of his alien female heroine in Avatar, "Right from the beginning, I said, she's got to have t*ts," according to Inverse.

His tentpole features often had bombastic practical effects and huge budgets, which he would fight for in "F-bomb-laden shouting matches with executives" according to the Hollywood Reporter

That same masculine energy carried over to sets, causing Ed Harris to punch Cameron in the face on the set of the Abyss according to IMDB.

Cameron also said, "I made Titanic because I wanted to dive into the shipwreck, not because I particularly wanted to make the movie."

Cameron's new movie is a continuation of his Avatar series, the first entry having hit theaters back in 2009. His interest in filmmaking now rests in his passion for environmental sustainability. On Avatar, Cameron has said, "Avatar is the highest-grossing film, and it’s a movie that's asking you to cry for a tree."

Cameron's success has been parallel to his reliance on innovation in technology. His films The Abyss and Terminator 2 spearheaded CGI, pushing the technology forward in significant ways in a shortened time span.

Yet technology and human advancement is portrayed in the Avatar movies as tools of the oppressor, pushing in on the natives who are portrayed in a Rousseauian utopia, in perfect harmony until greedy mankind disrupts their perfection.

On the first Avatar's success, in 2009 Cameron said, "If we didn’t make money, we're a bunch of dumb f*cks," according to EW.

In 2022, Cameron, who has totally given up toxic masculinity said, "The trolls will have it that nobody gives a shit and they can't remember the characters' names or one damn thing that happened in the movie. Then they see the movie again and go, 'Oh, okay, excuse me, let me just shut the fuck up right now.' So I’m not worried about that."

testosterone helps to restrain aggressive behaviour.
It's the combination of high testo, high adrenaline and a dysregulation in dopamine & serotonine levels that causes aggression.
Average guys with only high testosterone can deal with frustration better than soyboys crying when somebody insults their favourite netflix globohomo shitshow.

Reading past the headline changes nothing, his comments are still completely retarded for the same reason.
It really does.
What Cameron is saying is that boys and young men basically can't control their male urges and they learn to do that as they get older.
How is that retarded?
Please, explain.

What are the "male urges" that young men can't control and must learn to as they get older?
For example, getting into fist fights with other dudes for dumb reasons like: "I DON"T LIKE THE WAY YOU LOOKED AT ME, YO WANNA GO OUTSIDE, BRO? YOU WANNA GO, BRO?"
A lot of young guys act like that and 99% of them learn to keep that shit in check later in life.
Another would be doing stupid dangerous shit to impress people, girls in particular.

You really need that explained?

You think the average man has an uncontrollable inate male urge to fistfight random people on the street while calling them "bro"?

what

I thought that’s what injecting testosterone in my brain was for.

~230 million dollars to make a movie "that is asking you to cry for a tree".

Only in clown world.
And then, they spent $2 billion to make you cry for them some more... or maybe the oceans? Or, well, I don't know what, the trailer isn't clear, but we're to cry again, and this time, do it with more conviction.
This is something media does that I can't stand. They bait these sort of comments, then present them without any context or nuance for rage. Whenever I see these sorts of "hot take from a celebrity" headlines, I think there's about an 80% chance what they said was actually pretty uncontroversial.
"So, you liking the weather lately?"

"Actually, it's been uncomfortably cold, I've had to bundle up a bit"

"CELEBRITY SAYS WE'RE ENTERING NEW ICE AGE! PEOPLE WILL HAVE TO "BUNDLE UP" TO SURVIVE LOOMING CLIMATE CHANGE!

Its kinda shocking how someone who had the emotional depth and creativity creativity to make terminator 2 become some lunatic. Like imagine if an 17th century painter who showed no signs of being a progressive of his time was resurrected to only become a loser tranny within the span of 10 years.

Its kinda surreal in all honesty. Then again while this viewpoint is ridiculous its not that unusual. There seems to be a certain human urge to blame masculine aggression for all of our world's problems.

Were it not for this aggression, there wouldn't be much of an advancement civilization enjoys today. And while I understand there can be too much of a "good" thing, to infer if the world were rid of it altogether we'd become a Pandora is just a stupid self-own coming from him.

There seemed to be male aggression expressed in all those battle ready Na'vi in the first movie. Have to have some aggression to tame the banshee. Weird man.

However, I get that what he's saying is analogous to a man growing from being full of piss and vinegar to a more settled, reserved individual. I don't understand why he's lamenting his time as such, and with such distain. His aggression helped him make some of the most successful and culturally significant movies; two of which had essentially both a female protagonist and antagonist (Aliens) and a female deuteragonist (T2). Is someone holding his feet to the fire or what?

The reactions about 2 are telling. They're saying it's almost exactly the same as the first. Even these leftists like Cuckman are giving faint praise.

It'll probably be a huge hit.

Does this pussy even know that his fantasy lifestyle is defended by men with guns?
As long as they're HIS men with guns he's okay with it. Nancy Pelosi called for heavy machine guns to be deployed against protesters, so of course I'm not going to take the Left seriously on that subject.

I have zero interest in watching anything that this soyboy shithead has created now.
