Not only do people not research, there are also those with confirmation bias. They just want to think the reason Rapp was fired was purely because of Fire Emblem and GamerGate and not just because Nintendo found out about her posting on the internet images of herself in sexy cosplay and lingerie, images which wouldn't mesh well with the image Nintendo has.

My theory on that is that as a situation gets more complex, and the advocates of social justice percolate away in their echo chambers, it comes to a point where not just something challenging their narrative becomes painful, causes cognitive dissonance, or becomes triggering, but the proximity to anything related to something that could challenge the narrative also becomes triggering, etc. They've become so use to Us or Them, Black and White, Right and Wrong, that anything they can't simply accept as one, or dismiss as the other, read: causes them to thing, is troublesome on a fundamental level.

yea, that seems to be the case these days. not many SJWs partake in introspection, so they're just these huge "triggering" clusterfucks of madness.

NeoGAF is the kinda place that thinks laws shouldn't protect people who hold opinions they disagree with, like when they thought Hulk Hogan shouldn't get any money from Gawker on account of him saying some racist stuff.

I can think of a couple things.

That's right up there.

Perhaps she's slowly realizing she has a future at some point that setting up a Piteon to collect tard bucks from the people who turned her temporary inconvenience into a permanent black mark on her resume would just delay even longer.
