A little out of context clip from a jewtuber Gmanlives who pretty much calls people like Phil a liar for praising it as a good survival horror.

I don't know his endgame for being part of the shill defense force here. If anything he has made me sick of hearing about it. His excessiveness has definitely soured the game even more.

Just out of all the games he went 100% on, it had to be this.

Not sure if it's because he's retarded, that's just addict behavior. They have a clear idea of what an addict is, and it never includes them. I can't be addicted: I still manage to work everyday, I'm not homeless, I just have a few drinks with dinner, etc. I have a lot of family with addiction issues and I can say from experience no addict can casually partake in their addiction.

Based on what we know since the bank leaks and phil's spending on WWEC as well as his total wine purchases I am pretty comfortable saying Phil's got an addictive personality. It's only made worse that he's so isolated and has no one around him who cares enough to intervene.

Boy am I sure jealous.

not an alchi but I've never seen him this focused, legitimately enthusiastic or attentive to people's suggestions than he is now talking about what to drink on his stream.

But that's thing of it. What's the end game here? Have the internet dive into his love of the Dead Space franchise?

Wanting to get the full context of his love and defense of this game. Does he really want people youtubing DSP Dead Space?

I don't even think Phil knows why he's defending the game. It's purely egostical it seems. He spent months hyping it up and how excited he was for it. All he talked about was how he was itching for a new dead space experience. Even after realizing it wasn't dead space he was just so stoked that it'll be within the same vein of his beloved franchise. I don't even think it's a contratian thing. Its personal. He really thought it was gonna be the best thing to come out in years. And it isn't. And even his audience knows it. And he's gotta hate that even more than anyone else hating on it. Cause it's special to him and should mean something to them or some bullshit.

phil is defending the callisto protocol for the very simple reason that he enjoys it. no one else enjoys it and that makes him mad because he's the center of the world, so if he enjoys something no one else does, everyone else must be wrong.

this really isn't that complicated. i mentioned it before but this is literally what he did with Murdered: Soul Suspect, he literally blamed people giving that game bad reviews and an unfair shake for why the company that made it went out of business.

this is not a hard mystery. this is not some "he secretly got a free code and that's why he's doing it!" he has done this behavior before in this exact same situation before.

Yeah, I notice him comment on tractor vids, and he puts a lot of Phil tisms in his videos(mainly his stupid soundbites).

He's a good reviewer IMO, because he won't just go "this is perfect" and instead prefaces the things he thinks make it good, and the stuff to be aware of.

Phil on the other hand isn't able to separate his nit picking and bitching from his reviews, so you end up with "this game is bad because it's 'too hard'. "

For example a lot of people found Alien Isolation to be scary, but Phil went "this game isn't scary." Yet if you watch his playthrough he is constantly making bad jokes and ack ack acking instead of actually trying to focus, gee I wonder why it wasn't scary?

He's convinced himself that his subjective opinions are "facts", which is why no one takes his reviews seriously.
