I doubt this counts as guntube but this kills my soul.
It's just a CZ75, didn't look like any fancy one, and it got cleaned up. If it was a gorgeously blued Colt Diamondback, then I'd shed some tears. I like CZ75s, but they aren't exactly deluxe guns, the painted on finish is cheap.
Would it make you feel worse if I told you most of those channels are fake and just leave shit in buckets of water for content? The Filipinos learned it first by ripping off Primitive Technology and keeping construction equipment out of the shot, now everyone's "restoring" shit because taking steel wool to surface rust is easy.
I imagine quite a lot of those 'restoration' channels are bogus, yeah.
The big tell for the primitive building channels is that Primitive Technology is legit as he shows every grueling step to produce each tool and component, until he gets to a goal point like building a very simple little brick hut shelter the size of a public toilet. The fake ones do wild bullshit like build a fucking
water park with a lot of very convenient cutting.
What'd be the the fake ones for restoration? The worst ones probably don't even explain their steps, but the guns are never worse than some surface rust/crust. If someone remembers that old video series by that Ajax guy, where he found a 1911 which had been buried under mud on a back road for about a century, that shit was legit because that pistol was fuuucked, he put shitloads of effort into doing things like reverse electrolysis, a lot of it, the time and effort was comparable to what Primitive Technology gets up to, arguably more.
It's the kind of damage that you can't undo with a couple of hours of work with a brush and solvent trimmed down to 15 minutes, nor which you can realistically prepare for the algorithm at any fast pace.
