I've wondered about this too - she came out of nowhere and the videos seemed "real" with lo-fi audio, etc. However her email in the Youtube bio has a link to "Algebra Media" which appears to be a branding company that helps influencers on Youtube:

also her Discord is just a tiny part of a bigger Discord and her entire channel there was full of people being like "How do I contact her? I can help with a request." and replies like "She's never here anymore/she's never on Twitter anymore/maybe Patreon?". Definitely odd.

I love her accent, but her monotone delivery without any inflection is like listening to the hum of a refrigerator. Just this constant drone.

It wouldn't surprise me if she's just a hired gun to do narration and this channel was just one of many being cranked out by a company to capitalize on different niches. I mean, it's done in the music industry. Why not something like YouTube where the overhead is really low?

I remember this douche named Adam Koralik popped up on Youtube about a decade ago, and all he did was regurgitate all of the same retro video game topic videos as previous creators. He just used their videos as scripts and churned videos out until he became kind of a notable creator. Although nobody actually watches his videos for his personality as he doesn't have one.

He stuck gold with Dusk, which was popular with the old school shooter crowd and ushered in the return of boomer shooters (along with Doom 2016). It looks like he just makes whatever he wants nowadays because he can afford to.

He's also doing level design for Gloomwood and assisting with New Blood dev stuff. He recently posted a teaser video for a new game hes making about shanking goblins

He just kinda makes whatever hes interested in. He usually does horror games in the Dread x Collections, like Squirrel Stapler and Pony Factory

What up and coming channels need to realize is they aren’t entitled to making money. You aren’t owed a Patreon just for existing.

Ok so im late but i have a really good example of this but its really off topic. There is a scale model channel called "Scale studio" who heavily apes off another scale model channel called "Night Shift", copying his Patreon tiers, editing style, and schedule. Main difference between them was the Night Shift opened his Patreon after months of doing videos and routinely getting over 20k views, and Scale Studio opened his within two months of making his channel and first video and well under 500 subscribers (infact it was much closer to 47 subs at the time) he currently has 8 Patrons and gets about 1.5k views per model video but the other videos he makes get much closer to 600 views. He effectively killed his channel by his aggressive monetization and also his shit tier audio mixing.

The more of these channels that get recommended to me, the more I hate them and hate that I like this sort of content.
Almost all the males seem like they smell like dry coom or would try goad a 17 year old girl into a poly relationship and all the woman seem like they are bitchy BPD fat girls who think what they are doing is a service and super unique all while being incredibly misinformed.
And then you go to their twitter and it almost but surly confirms it, and doesn't help 9 times out of 10 they have pronouns in their bio and retweeting some tranny bread tuber or bitching about nasties.

At this point I’m disgusted that these people don’t realize how opportunistic they look discussing abused children while begging for engagement on their channel.
And she has an annoying accent, joy. This is why Dreading, Shroudedhand, Dire Trip and Disturban are some of the only channels I can stand now. They have enough self awareness not to shill some fucking scam for way too long in their videos.

I want to shill for the Crime Weekly podcast because they deserve it this time. They discussed the Adnan Syed case autistically and went through all the evidence for over 21 hours (final episode on Youtube coming Sunday), and they were objective the whole time.

Bonus points for Stephanie rapidy losing respect for other true crime giants who 'discussed' this case from the 'muh poor Muslim boi dindu nuffin' angle and shat on Hae Min Lee's family.

I know, I know, she does that, and the thumbnails look very silly. It's an algorithm thing I presume, all the true crime girls do it and it seems to attract viewers so they keep doing it.
Highly recommend her cult series and Manson series, I actually learned a lot from those that I didn't know before.

But, the moment he covered that case of a troon murdering women, while using female pronouns for the murderer who looks like your average skinwalker AGP, was a full on confirmation that I won't be ever returning to his channel.

I don't give a shit if he did it because Youtube would get butthurt and demonetize him. The fact he chose to give a form of respect towards a murderer by respecting their pronouns,
really speaks volume about his character and desperate/greedy he is to chase that revenue. I want to say on the same level of low as PlaguedMoth and shitty true crime channels
who still "cover" (read: exploit) extreme cases like Junko Furuta's case, despite it being already covered and handled way better by other channels with the proper respect.

Oh and just to nitpick; that opening of hers is too long and cringe. Just put the credits at the end of the video. I much prefer it when content creators just get into it or at least play a 10 second diddle or something. I don't need an entire anime opening.

I always found her annoying when she pops up on bongland True crime shows, she always gives really dull takes on stuff the show has gone over. "the killer was very angry and took it out on her because he was mad" wow thanks for the super deep psychological insight Emma really good at padding out 44 minutes of this show.
