Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

Anyone know anything about it?
Not very much, but I have done some brief looking into it.

It looks like some people have thrown stuff together about it in this paste: https://pastelink.net/as1um016

This is linked in the above, but it seems to also have quite a bit of information that the community surrounding this thing has dug up: https://archive.ph/4qEO7

From the above, it would seem that the fake languages are all just english with the words subbed out with nonsense words. So like herba derba doo might mean "the blue chicken", where herba = the, derba = blue and doo = chicken, and so "herba derba dandy" might mean like "the blue car" or something like that. The languages aren't actually full on languages, though. Like they're just english with the words swapped out. They don't have different grammar or idiomatic constructions and are just a matter of word substitution.

People have been translating them piece by piece by looking in the bibliographies of the different articles on the site. The bibliography sources are in english, and in the made up languages, they don't translate proper nouns, punctuation, nor acryonyms, so you can match up sections from the english bibliographies to where they're quoted in the gibberish texts, and then correlate what words mean what. People have then been building out shit like scripts to swap out the words.

Appearently, there's some obscene number of these "languages" in use, though, so it's a very tedious process and not all of the 10k+ articles on the site have been translated thusfar.

So is it an ARG? I dunno. A lot of it looks very much the part. Like the fact that the languages are so easily decoded smells like someone building a puzzle for players to solve, which is something you'd expect in an ARG. At the same time...this site is old. If you go poking around in archives, domain registration records, old forum posts and shit like that, there's sufficient evidence to show that the site's at least as old as 2010, and probably older, to the point that I don't really have reason to doubt the dates recorded on the site itself (being 2005 at the oldest). I've never heard of an ARG that's actively run for 15-20 years. So that is kinda weird to me, but I also know sites like jodi are pretty old too, so I dunno.

I'll throw a little something out just for the Hell of it. Found these season rankings of "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" on YouTube. Usually stuff like this is unwatchably autistic, but this guy seems to have a lot of fun with the concept and I've marathoned all four of the seasons he's done. Genuinely hope he moves onto other anthology shows after this, because it's incredibly comfy.

I've been watching this too, brings back so many memories and yeah, this guy is really good.

That fucking trigger warning at the beginning. “Transphobia” and “detransition under duress” = this is gonna be tranny bullshit.

Cold Raven made a video about a (and I'm not making this up) a dark web Snuff porn video called 'The Vietnam Butcher' being leaked onto the general internet.

PreserveTube

And today I learned from a Youtube comment that these are apparently well known phenomenon in SE Asia called 'murder vacations'. In which people would willingly sell their lives to be killed and their family would be paid.

I can confirm Forgotten Languages is older than 2010 because I remember checking it out when someone posted about it on SomethingAwful and I stopped posting there in 2010. The schizos on r/conspiracy back in the day were obsessed with it for a few months in between posts about Tartarian Mudfloods and Fake Moon landings. What is the site? Probably some dude who hasn't taken his meds in years fucking around.

Odd that I randomly remembered this site only to find a few recent posts here about it. Synchronicity is a bitch sometimes... I don't believe its an ARG. It could be one schizo dude, but some of the posts are oddly timed. If I remember right, there were posts about COVID months before it hit as well as specific UAP/UFO stuff years before it was publicly released. It almost seems IC related, due to the "public access, but private knowledge" nature of it.

At first I thought this was real, but then I heard the "interviews" and it was pure autism as you can get.
From the comments I found out it's an adaptation of a creepypasta I've never heard of called Death of Grandma. Not sure if it's worth sitting through for that to be the payoff, you'd have to give a shit about the source material.
