I think what happens with a lot of People who like Donald Trump is they get invested into this idea that’s it’s do or die and that the ends justify the means. A lot of those type of people will counter with “yeah he’s wrong there but look he’s draining the swamp” or “look he’s getting rid of pedos”. In all honesty I can’t tell you what possible reason Donald trump wanted to become president and why he would want to do it again if anything it’s completely ruined his reputation and he’s lost any sense of political power he once had which is wild to think about but I can’t help but say things if just by some random chance were way better when he was president than they are now. The Biden administration has been an even bigger shit show in my opinion and now there’s pretty much 100% proof that hunter Biden was selling US intelligence to Chinese spies for years before he even got to Ukraine and you have democrats supporting and covering up for him. I see the Nation either falling apart from a Civil war or WW3 the institutions and political parties are more corrupt than any government I’ve ever read in an history book. I guess my rant got a little off topic but my main point being america is absolutely fucked and I don’t see anyway that it can recover.

He's a narcissist plain and simple. He went birther for a while because it got a lot of press. From that people started talking about him more and then he figured why not throw his hat in the ring? Nobody, himself included, figured he'd win. But it would have been a lark to try and make it look like he was doing something important. And then everything changed and he started to like the attention people were paying to him. He enjoyed the spotlight. He was in the news. Hell Fox News was talking about him all the time to the point where he'd call in and speak to them. It played to his ego and the more he did this, the more people talked about him.

As for why he wants to do it again it's because, again, he's a narcissist. Why do you think that two years later, even after Republican governors have certified the votes, he's still calling fraud? It's because the MAGA crowd is still following him and still repeating what he says. It's not rocket science.
