I’m still baffled why it is true crime channels with accents annoy me so much. Disturban or Shroudedhand are Welshman right? Their voices are fine but the lady I linked, That Chapter, Internet Investigator, etc their accent and cadences hurt my ears and piss me off.

Probably because it sounds more like they should be reading you a bedtime story rather than tell you about a horrible murder.

I don't really get scared by it lol. But like others said, it's kinda endearing seeing him getting spooked by simple weird shit, he seems like a real good dude so I'm fine with it (even if it's slightly gay *to get spooked by MD not him).

It's not *that* weird for him to be seriously freaked out by the idea of demons & satan overthrowing god & the angels. The man is/was literally a youth pastor and cried his video about Dante's Paradiso as well as I think in his video about Paradise Lost. It's clear that his religion is front and center in his life, which is not that common anymore nowadays, though I've known a girl who'd cry her eyes out talking about each sunday's sermon and the choire.

Spoiler: rambling about voices

Disturban is very monotone but not to the point of sounding like a robot. You can feel the seriousness through the way he speaks, accent be dammed. I don't feel as if his accent is a hindrance in his delivery but that's because his cadence is fine.

Shrouded Hand is a little more emotive and rather low note. I don't mind his accent too much. I think it kinda adds to his charm and helps with his dry wit.

Personally, I think it may be because the two of them aren't high pitched so it makes their voices more bearable in bigger doses.
And something something writing. How these videos are written says a lot too, I think.

Ol' girl Emma is trying way too hard to be dramatic. I noticed that she often used the same words in consecutive but different sentences after each other with the same tone which almost fooled my dumbass into thinking she was repeating herself.

And let us not forget "mooch".

Her manner of speaking feels practiced in a way that doesn't come off as natural and the awkward writing didn't help either. it's kinda sad that she was far more natural when speaking of her sponsor.

Some accents just sound way better than others.

Edit to add; It's really sad seeing Nyx fall so far. Long gone are the days of his Eraserhead video, which was my favorite of his.

Oooo that makes a lot of sense. It helps they both don’t edit their voices to sound lower their voices just sound like that.

The fake anti piracy screens were pretty cool last summer but they’re a dead meme now. All the real ones, (Earthbound, Spyro, etc) everyone knows about so doing a video is pointless.

I recommend just watching Oddheader for video game Easter eggs and mysteries. He’s manage to contact people to get some stuff explained which has been pretty cool!

So I want to bring up YourEveryDayTheorist because I think he’s a pretty good iceberg channel. Now has he covered topics done to death? Yes, won’t deny that.

You can tell he does his research and doesn’t enjoy censoring himself. Out of all the horror adjacent channels that need supporting I highly recommend his.

No Tuv, companies preventing their products from being pirated is not disturbing.

Some of those anti piracy measure are so brutal and sneaky that they're hilarious like the Ocarina of Time one where it'll let you play the entire game but at the end when you're following Zelda out of Ganon's crumbling tower there's one door that Zelda won't open for you but she'll clip right through it.

Imagine getting all that way and then being cock blocked by the developers because you didn't buy a legal copy.

That's just fucking funny to me.
