Pony Town is a My Little Pony social MMORPG opened to the public in June 2016, which has since been adopted by genderspecial he/they/xey/faer/meows with DID, ADHD, autism, BPD, and at least 17 other chronic illnesses (all undiagnosed, but diagnoses are classist or something).
The concept of the game is simple: you create an account, dress up your pixel horse in a variety of manes and accessories, and log into one of the many servers. However, an online chatroom aimed at children, which gained popularity during the COVID lockdowns, is doomed to be a festering rot ground full of the worst people TikTok has to offer.
Users frequently use Patreon and GitHub as "about me" pages. Oftentimes, these about me pages have external links to sites like Rentry, Txti.es, and Carrd. They often have completely absurd DNI (do not interact) pages, which effectively equate to "don't speak to me if you don't believe everything I believe." White people, non-trannies, straight people, and people who believe in diagnosis are the equivalent of the Antichrist. Just click on someone's pony, and there's a coin flip chance that they'll have the most mind-numbingly abhorrent information on the social media linked to their pixel horse.
If you say something wrong in the public chat (such as, "I don't think you actually have DID," "Trans women have a different skeletal structure to natal women," "I believe in Christianity," and other completely tame stuff like that), 80 people will all jump in to tell you to kill yourself.
As a treat to non-English Kiwis, there's a plethora of international servers to choose from, too!
Terminology
Because telling people to fuck off is too scary, Pony Town users will oftentimes put acronyms in their names. That way, they can take the easier route of calling you ableist. This list isn't comprehensive but is a good introduction to the sort of bullshit on this site.
TT/TD/DNTUF/OTD: Touch Trigger, Touch Discomfort, Do Not Touch Unless Friend, Occasional Touch Discomfort.
If your pixels come into contact with someone who has a touch trigger, they'll pretend to have a mental breakdown. Haphephobia and phantom touch is a real thing, but there are zero clinical cases where phantom touch can affect you on a 2D pixel game. Of course, these users will frequently sit near the most populated areas of the game.
DA/IRL/'me': Delusional Attachment, In Real Life, literally me.
Basically, an advanced version of kinning, this time with mental illness faking. "IRL" is very rarely used to refer to a pony based on the user's own appearance and is almost exclusively used to claim they are a fictional character behind the screen. Delusional attachments are "caused by psychosis" (despite not being an actual medical phenomenon), therefore it's ableist to say that that person isn't the character they claim they are. Oftentimes coupled with "don't reality check me," which is when you tell them they are not a fictional character.
FICT/INTROJ/HOST/SYS: Fictive, Introject, Host, System.
This user claims to have dissociative identity disorder, which is its own clusterfuck you can read about here. It's all but guaranteed they're bullshitting, and there's a good chance they have some wonderful information linked for you to read.
AGERE/AGRE/LITTLE: Age Regression.
Another term that has its own thread here. Basically, these users have an ABDL kink but hide behind the term "age regression." These users will frequently "regress" on the 18+ server despite there being a PG safe server, and then claim that this has nothing to do with kink or sex.
C+H, INT, DNC: Cuddle + Hide, Interact, Do Not Copy.
Shockingly, the only non-ridiculous tags. C+H means you can hide behind that user's pony, INT means that they're open to chat with anyone on the game, and DNC means that they don't want their skin to be color picked or copied by another user on the game. Think what you will, but these are the tamest things you'll see on the game.
Userbase
With such a large game chock full of degeneracy, it's hard to narrow down specific people to laugh at. In a way, that's what makes this game so interesting- almost everyone who plays it has something awful that they wear as a badge of honor. Users on Pony Town will also collaborate to write entire Google Doc publications on why they hate you. These are frequently a result of regiment in-fighting (think Habbo Hotel mafias, but full of chronically online 16-year-old women) but can be because of anything. A vast majority of the time, these documents are a display of retards fighting with retards. Here are two examples of such documents.

A 20 year old in a relationship with a 16 year old. The 16 year old fakes DID and has a fictive of a race-bent Gregory from FNAF (despite her being white in real life), and frequently "age-regresses" and "pet-regresses" as him. The 20 year old encourages this behavior and serves as their "caretaker."

A black Catholic furry artist with an animation YouTube channel. Not inherently amusing to watch, but the reactions to her are. She once said that she would not date a trans person due to wanting children, and now the entire userbase thinks that she's transphobic.
Staff Team and Lack of Moderation
Despite having been released in 2016, the game is still in alpha. It recently reached version 0.100.2-alpha, and there's no end in sight to the development hell. There is one major update every month if you're lucky- however, an entirely pixel-art based game being built by two sprite artists would definitely take time. There's a decently sized development team (x) behind the game, and their Patreon (x) is raking in at least $10,230 a month at the time of writing.
There are only two English server moderators, despite both English servers averaging well above 2,000 users at any given time.
Despite the wages, the moderation team is barely active, and reports often take days to process. This means that on top of the horrible userbase, there are many pedophiles that go unbanned. Considering the game is aimed at children, and there's no chat filter when in private chat, it's a very inviting place for things like this.

Shockingly, there is not a lot of controversy surrounding the staff team for the game, and it's mainly rumors/gripes spread by the users upset by the inactive moderation team.
