The 14-year-old teenager found dead inside a stable in Pomerode, in the Itajaí Valley, had injuries that indicate that she was dragged and trampled by her own horse, concluded the result of the Civil Police inquiry, released this Wednesday (23) .
Amanda Ewald was found dead by her parents, with several injuries on her body, on the night of November 4 (understand below). A rope tied around her waist held her to the animal.
According to police chief Antonio Godoi, responsible for the investigation, the girl often participated in equestrian competitions and was quite used to horses.
The victim had been the guardian of the animal, of the Creole breed, for two years. "I lived with him. He was tamed, tame", said the investigator.
The forensic examination showed, according to the police, polytrauma due to multiple injuries on the body.
"Probably, there was a horse reaction to a stimulus that he was not used to. Near the place, a tarp was found, which we believe has a connection, which may have scared the animal. The tarp had dust, it was probably not used often," said the researcher.
According to Godoi, the teenager's daily life was full of allusions to horses. "Everything about her referred to the theme," he says.
The teenager was found dead in the family stable, in the Testo Alto neighborhood, around 7 pm on November 4.
According to firefighters, the parents found the girl unconscious and not breathing, being instructed to start cardiac massages during the displacement of the rescue team. When rescuers arrived at the scene, they confirmed that the teenager had no heartbeat and began to perform resuscitation maneuvers. The victim, however, died at the scene.
